Stan Lee’s Book Reveals The Ins and Outs!
First it arrived within THREE days of being ordered in the 2018 Christmas rush. Second it is in ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ condition. Third I have enjoyed reading this book not only for how to write a comic book script but the fascinating history of comic books! I also have liked the viewpoints of those that worked with Stan as both writers like himself and illustrators. I’m writing a new comic book myself and what I’m learning is making so much easier to do. Also as I have never worked with an illustrator before I have learned the secrets of getting along with my future one!

Not very technical, but good for getting you started
This book is more for beginners, or people who have an itching to write comics but just never knew where to start. There's not much in the technical or "how to" aspect, but this is a very fun and enjoyable read nonetheless. You can hear and feel Stan Lee's eternally youthful enthusiasm in all the chapters. His love and excitement of the subject has no bounds, and if anything this would be fun for any Marvel fan to read just to know what goes into making comics in general.

Used for research
I chose Lee's book because I wanted an insider's view of the comic book design process for a novel I wrote. For my purposes it served as excellent reference material. The book explained the methods of design styles and how a comic moves between the creator, colorist, inker, etc., all rudimentary information for the seasoned professional, but fascinating for someone who is an industry outsider. I was not very impressed with the graphics choices because for the most part they looked like they came from a genre and era I don't care for. I know that today there are some incredible artists doing creatively different things that I would have liked to know more about, but I suspect copyright issues may have been the reason Lee chose the ones included in the book. I was especially bored with so many female images that reflected the high school boy's fantasy view of women, but I know that goes with the territory of superhero comics. The book worked for my research, so for that reason I was pleased with my purchase.

If you're working on a comic book, you're reading this.
I have gathered SO much information from this book. From terminology used in the comic industry to the history of comic books, to how to write script, organize said script for your artist, and how to collaborate with your team. This book is one of the FEW you will ever need to write and properly pace/draw comic books. With big name comic veterans breaking off to create a whole new industry through artisan, independently published comic books and graphic novels, having this compendium from Stan Lee, is going to lay the foundation for your success.

The perfect companion piece to Drawing Comics The Marvel Way.
When I was 12 years old in 1978, my mother bought me Drawing Comics The Marvel Way to improve my artistic abilities. But it is not enough to merely draw the comic. First, you must Write it. And this book is the guide by Stan The Man Lee himself about how to write in this medium. True Believers, this is the guide for you. Buy this book and Drawing Comics The Marvel Way and learn how to create art and literature. And hold on to these books because some day you'll have kids so you can hand these books down to them and continue another generation of creativity. Thank you, Mr. Lee, and the entire Marvel Bullpen for creating these works for us.

How to organize your writing for comics rather than how to write
The "How" in this book is practically showing you how to organize your story into the comic book style, specifically for Marvel stories, but works for all comic book stories. It goes into the basic anatomy of a typical story and shares a good deal of terms and post editing details for your book. This isn't a how to write stories for comics as much as it is a guide for how to organize your writing for comics and an introduction to comic scripting and styles.

A beautiful leap into the mind of a creator.
I bought this book a few months before he passed. But through these pages I find so much knowledge and wisdom inspiring me. It's like talking to the man himself.
