Dog likes this stuff, but it really goes fast
My dog doesn't enjoy his dry food as much as he used to. We started mixing it with about a tablespoon of canned food and a little bit of hot water to make a sort of gravy, and he perked right back up. This made feeding him morning and night a bit of a hassle, though. We had to take the canned food out of the fridge, add it to the dry food, add water, mix, and put the canned food back in the freezer bag we use to store it. When I heard about Petchup, I thought this would relieve all of the extra steps. I now just dispense the dry food, add the Petchup with its handy flip top (still stored in the fridge), mix, and give to the dog. No water or wasteful fridge packaging required. The dog likes it almost as much as the canned food, so that part is fine. My only concern is that a typical can of good dog food (about $1.50) would generally get us through about a week. This stuff ($8.30) is about halfway gone, and it's only been about a week and a half. That means the whole bottle will last about 3 weeks. The old way we did it is definitely economically more practical, but this stuff is so much easier! Also, the hole at the top of this bottle is huge. Way bigger than the size of a ketchup or mustard condiment dispenser hole, and this stuff is not very viscous. This means that as soon as you flip it over, it starts pouring out, probably also contributing to the excess use. I'm thinking the 17 ounce bottle makes it more economical than IAMS Savory Sauce for Adult Dogs Roasted Beef Flavor, 11-Ounce Bottles(Pack of 9) , too, but I wonder if the packaging of that stuff is better. It is probably what I will try next and let everyone know. As of now, I think I may go back to the canned food and use this on mornings when I'm running late or in a rush. For people not too concerned about the cost, this is great stuff! It's definitely dog approved in our house.

Works
Sometimes my pupperino can be picky with his food. I mean I would be too if I ate the same thing every day. I give this to him once or twice a week with his food. He seems to gobble it up quickly so clearly he likes it. I also use low sugar peanut butter which he really enjoys.I wouldn’t give this to him every day, but I treat it like dessert. You don’t need dessert every day, but it’s nice to have once or twice a week.

I wish my dog loved this more
I wish my dog loved this more.Of our two dogs, one is a super picky eater. The other will eat literally anything. We were buying some expensive freeze dried food and sprinkling on top of her normal food. I was hoping she would like this just as much, as it would have been much easier and less expensive.I'm pretty sure it has very little, if any, nutritional value. I was just hoping it would get her to eat her already expensive and fancy dog food. But it didn't work. I guess we'll keep buying the freeze dried food.On the plus side, my other dog loved it. Although he also loves chewing on wood, eating carpet and cardboard.

This product is not healthy for your pet!
I have three small bread dogs with one weighing in at only 9 pounds. They are finicky eaters so I decided to change things up a bit and flavor their food with this product. Once I received the Petchup I read the ingredients, and to my surprise, garlic was in the product. Having worked with rescues and sick dogs most of my adult life I knew that Garlic was not the best thing to give to pets so I am surprised that this ingredient is included in the recipe but not listed in the description to help consumers make a better informed purchase decision.I dont want to come across as too harsh on this review but several years ago I almost had one of my smaller dogs die due to being fed leftovers that contained garlic.(NOTE: A visiting relative fed this to our pet without our knowledge; you should always avoid feeding human food to your pets.)From the ASPCA:Dogs, and especially cats, are sensitive to garlic, Jaspar. Unfortunately, we do not know specifically what dosage causes problems, and it is not yet completely known what breeds and age groups are most sensitive to this toxicity. What we do know is that gastrointestinal problems and red blood cell damage can occur as a result of feeding garlic to pets. An occasional small amount, such as that in most commercial pet foods and treats, may not cause a problem, but because of the risk, we generally recommend that you avoid feeding your pets products that contain more concentrated amounts of garlic.I hope this helps others with smaller pets.

Had to slowly introduce dog to the taste
Waste of money since apparently i cant return this?! My dog hates it and actively avoids it.EDIT: it’s been a few days since I first got it now and I’ve had to wean him on it very slowly. He’s now seemingly to like it more but not fully. Will update in the future.2ND EDIT: My pup is now used to it and encourages him to eat his joint medication. At first I thought my dog would hate it forever but I guess he just needed to get used to it. I do about 3 small squirts in his food and that’s enough. Started at first with 1 and went up from there. Seems like a good quality product. Will be buying more

My dog didn't like it, but.....
My fussy little Bishon wouldn't even smell it so I gave it to my neighbors who were having trouble getting their two dogs to eat as they were on a diet and were trying to get them to eat dry food that they did not like. We put just a tablespoon in each bowl and stirred. Both dogs dived in and ate the entire bowl in about three minutes. They get fed twice a day so she added it to their dry food twice a day for a week and immediately ordered two more bottles so they wouldn't run out. She has a rat terrier and a shitz shu. They are both kind of fussy eaters, but this Petchup completely eliminated the fussiness. On an aside, she is very intent on healthy food, both for her and her dogs. After she read the lable, she was sold. Also, the little Shitz shu has been scratching and biting herself for the past couple of months. A week after eating this stuff, she stopped biting herself completely.
