Math for the Ages!: SAT and High School Math

I have been going through this book in the last 10 days. First, I admire the painstaking efforts by the authors to cover such wide areas of Mathematics, starting from numbers and fractions to all the way to probability and Statistics and Logarithms. I like the way the material is presented with very simple explanation followed by a few examples to drive the concepts home rather quickly. The Chapter tests are really well thought out, and, are a great help in grasping the concepts. The best part of the is the hints and ways to solve a problem in a faster way. This will really help the students to save time and help solve more problems during the time allotted and thus score more in a test. Highly recommended for students, teachers and just about any Math enthusiast.

As a tutor at the Tutoring Gurus tutoring school in Fremont, California, I have taught SAT and High School math to students for many years. Usually, you need to use several books to cover High School math (Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Geometry, Statistics, etc.). This book is unique in compiling all the key concepts of SAT and High School math in one volume. The presentation is concise, clear, and covers all the math fundamentals you need to know to succeed in High School. I am impressed by its step by step approach in explaining a concept, followed by several relevant problems that enforces that concept well. I teach SAT to 8th graders. After reviewing this book, I tried this book for one year. Excellent results. This book provides excellent tips and tricks that you won't find in any other books. Very good book if you are trying to build your fundamentals in Mathematics. There are just a few items slightly out of order, but once you get used to it, this book will set a good foundation for your child.Very highly recommended.

I had initially planned to buy this book for my teenage son, who is attempting for SAT this year. Out of curiosity I decided to review the book and found it to be very interesting. Topics are covered in great length. The best part of the book is the detailed analysis of problem-solving strategies. My son was able to improve his speed of analytical problem-solving and subsequently boosted his confidence !!

My daughter is using this book and she loves it. She is a sophomore and was quite not ready for SAT. After going over this book, she is much confident now and ready for the test. This book explains each math concept with very nice examples and steps followed by practice questions. The examples given for each concept are super helpful.This book has 40 chapters and each chapter is nicely organized with examples and practice questions.I would strongly recommend this book which will help you to enhance your math concepts and also help you to excel in the SAT test. This book is worth buying!

In 324 pages content have about 10 minor mistakes, most of them occurs in chapter test and solutions, obviously the author didn't take the test himself. This is book looks very likes a high school student take a note from some textbooks, easy but definitely too simple for SAT the author claimed on cover, because I read through the whole book and wrote some note on it, so I decided to keep it, if I knew there are so many errors, then I would return it for refund right away.

I have reviewed Math for the Ages book targeted for High School student to prepare for SAT, ACT and College Board practice test. This book covers 40 fundamental mathematical concepts with good coverage, practice examples and problem solving strategies to improve accuracy and speed during test. The author have included algebra, trigonometry, words problem, probability, statistics, and data interpretation using general problems to make it simple, fun to understand and develop passion towards analytical problems. So, I highly recommend high school student to use this as a supplemental book and reference guide to gain confidence and score better in the SAT Test.

This book is on excellent math sources for general information in mathematical. I would recommend that it have a hardcover, so it could last longer . Great book!!! Please have it in hardcover.

This book is excellent.It covers all the topics prerequisite for algebra as well as core topics.The language used is very lucid and student can easily understand the algebraic concepts through this book, especially this book has given me full exam pattern of sat and the questions are also level of sat exam as well as higher than that.I would say if anyone wants to give sat exam then he must have this book for his mathematics preparation.😀😀👌
