I did far too much research trying to make sure I didn't get arrows that break, bows that don't work and so forth. I liked this one because of the extra arrows, good reviews, wrap-around quiver, and light up bow. It was well-received by my 5 y/o grandson, who quickly discovered the patio sliding door is a much easier target than the small-ish target that comes with it. The target is the only drawback since even if your youngster can manage to aim and hit this relatively small circle, you will need to mount it on the wall better than the one hook at the top suggests is appropriate. You wouldn't be able to use it on a tree on a windy day. The mask also was a bit small and was only fun for a few minutes because it doesn't allow for good sight for aiming. The quiver still managed to fall over to the side even with the waist band as it is a little big for my grandson who is the size of a 7 yr old. The arrows have proven to be durable but they are not designed to simply stay on the target or window and will fall off after a few minutes. All in all, I'm happy we tried this.

This bow was received at Christmas for my son and I have waited a month before posting a review to make sure it didn't break. It is still going strong and he uses it almost daily. None of the parts have broken and the arrows still are sticking to the target it came with.It has some very decent range and we often have to tell him to step back from the target as it hits the wall with a solid thud when close.His little sister has started taking turns with it when he isn't using it, so I would put this at ages 5+ based on that. They are both learning about weapon safety and basic archery skills. Even though this is much simpler to use than a real bow, it can be used indoors and the kids are not frustrated.

My son loves this toy! He enjoys wearing the belt to carry his ammo and pull it out to use it. This is also a great learning tool for kids using a real one, one day. Also has neat lights and a red target light for aiming. My son loves to use his creative imagination with this toy and has fun!!Edit from about 6 weeks later. Arrows broke easily unfortunately, breaking in half. Cheap material but overall still can be used. We are going to try a wooden bow and arrow for more durability.

Purchased the ActiveMVP Toys bow and arrow as a Christmas gift for my son. It was easy for him to use however one of the arrows did break when it hit a wooden wall beside the target. He likes it, but I’m not sure it’s going to stand up to daily play for a child!

This thing is really tough, especially considering my 5 and 6 year old boys could tear up a brick. They have yet to demo this thing. Bent the arrows somewhat but nothing broken. Led light has no switch so just stays on, unless I got a defective unit. No big deal either way. My kids love this bow and arrow set. I have to watch my back a little because they will shoot you when you least suspect it lol. It doesn't hurt and is not dangerous for little ones.

Great toy, yet, needs an on/off switch for the light aspect. Also, better instructions would be helpful. Overall, my 6 y/o son loves it!!

Had a hard time sticking at first..after using and bending a few times the suction started working better. Great set for beginner!

My 6 year old begged and begged, and in a moment of weakness, I broke down and got him this archery set. He loves it and it helps keep him occupied while I'm working during the day. He get so excited when he hits the target. The mask included was super small (considering the age range goes up to 12) - it didn't fit him. I fear the string could stretch over time. You also need water to help the arrows stick. Over all a great deal of fun for him!
