I have burned two titanium taller pots while camping and this have worked rather well.5 minutes on boil and 15 minutes under a towel seems to give me the right cooking process. Now just have to find the balance on rice to water ratio for this not to boil over.

This is nice for a small amount of food. It has its own stand where you make a fire. It is lightweight and takes up little space in a bag or backpack. This would be handy to boil eggs or cook a small meal. It is not coated to be non stick. You need to grease the bottom and sides to prevent sticking. I made some scrambled eggs to try it out and didn’t think about food sticking. I had to soak it overnight and scrub it to get the egg off. My son cooked a sausage in it and used the small grate. It cooked well and the grate cleaned off much easier than the actual pan. I think it is a good way to make some food in a pinch.

I was hoping this would be usable with some of the emergency rations I am trying out but it is barely able to accommodate 1 persons meal at a time. Of course it does say "lunch box" implying one person buy when camping/emergency rations call for 4 cups of water, it will likely overflow.I do like the small stand that comes with it, it can fit over the compatible burner unit and provide stability for some other pots. Of course the burner tip cam be attached to a hose and that would make the flame part attachable to other stability units or homemade cooking configurations at the campsite.

Probably not overly durable but will get the job done with a little care and TLC.

I bought this item because it looked identical to the same box I bought from Fire Maple. The box has a much more matt finish, and most important the handle is a lighter gauge material and doesn't fit as well.Skip this item and buy the Fire Maple.
