My husband loves this
He was either dropping his drill or misplacing it. This helps keep it a handy and secure on his belt. My husband is busy doing projects and when he dropped or misplaced his drill he’d be upset. So he loves this he said it was his best present( and I got him an air fryer)

It's a very well made USELESS holster. I can explain.
TLDR: great ratings individually- bad design overall. Great for light stationary duty. Terrible for moderate activity and movement. Bit holders/tool spaces are too deep and stiff for average fingertips. This holster has a very very good rating which is why I went for it. I myself rated it highly for sturdiness, value, etc. Overall I rated it poorly because it's not practical. For domestic use and weekend hobbies, I'm sure it will be great.I use it for work. It constantly drops my impact. Thats bad for me, the company, the customer, and my impact. I can't transfer from a ladder to a roof without it at minimum coming a third of the way out. I'm also forced to use smaller batteries, since the larger batteries make it top-heavy and prone to more drops. It does have the strap but it's impractical when I'm holstering 4+ times a minute, in unpredictable positions.Same thing with the multitude of pockets. What initially was a selling point for me is just plain impractical. The pockets are too deep for being that tight. My fingers can't retrieve anything from them. I started carrying a magnet to extract bits wedged in the bottom.I wanted to like this holster. I kept trying to adapt to it. Once it got to the point where my body positioning started accommodating to the holster instead of my work; it was decided.

Great drill & driver holster.
Just what I needed to hold my impact driver or drill when I’m working on a ladder, or even just around the house. Locating and picking up tools after I set them down, or trying to balance them on top of the ladder was wasting a lot of time. It is angled to wear on your right hip; maybe you could put it on your left hip and cross draw with your right hand but I haven’t tried. I am left-handed and would have preferred a holder I could draw with my left hand.I bought a second set of the driver bits I use most often and keep them in the holster; now I rarely have to open my case of driver bits and pick through them. Another bit time saver.I paired this with a contractor tool and fastener pouch I wear on the other hip. I put them on and load them up with what I need for the job, grab the ladder, and get it done. No more dragging around plastic buckets with tools and boxes of fasteners all jumbled up. Less hassle and faster work.

Almost perfect
I ordered this sight unseen hoping for my ideal drill holster, and it works well, but not the best option for me. I looked at the dewalt, this one, the Home Depot Husky brand and the Lowes AWP brand. This was the only one I couldn't at least put my drill in to test the fit.Dewalt and Husky didn't fit my Dewalt dcd995 very well so they were out. I then alternated between this CLC and the AWP for a 12 camera security system install on a home.Fit and finish on both were nice, but this does seem better built. Both have Velcro strap retainers and plastic clips that are secure and effective. Both grip my drill firmly, reholster smoothly and hug my hip nicely. Both are easy to withdraw my drill from. The kicker for me was the elastic straps and pockets on the AWP are much more useful. This CLC has several closed bottom elastic pockets for 1" driver bits, useless to me. I drive with a driver and drill with a drill. There's just no useful accommodation to carry anything but the drill with this holster. The AWP has more open bottom pockets that hold drill bits securely, and an drawstring pocket for small items like screws or in my case fish rod tips. All in all it's a good holster, and experience leads me to believe it'll likely last longer than the Lowes brand. If you carry your drill everyday though, it's worth the few extra bucks to buy a few holsters to see how they'll feel in real life use.

Left handed, struggle is real
The holder is designed well, it hangs perfectly, material is very heavy duty and will last. As a left handed southpaw, it’s not convenient & I’m forced to holster it backwards on my left side. Hope the maker will consider a left handed mount.
