Great feeder, good quality, price, all birds and owner love it!
The media could not be loaded. Location: Central Texas, second floor apartment patio.I bought this small feeder for my small birds to replace a large mesh hanging tray feeder which was not convenient to clean (hanging), Seeds wet when it rains, not sure when it needed to be refilled (leftover seeds good or bad?). It also attracted squirrels even when I raised it higher, and my 5 territorial White Winged Doves would get inside the feeder all at once, taking over the small birds’ space.I do not have a single issue/complaint about this feeder. I also have large mesh feeders/feeding stations on the ground for all birds including Blue Jays and Doves.- The quality is good. It is plastic, as expected. Easy to put together. No problems. Many birds are visiting all day long from Chickadee, Titmouse, Finches, Sparrows. Cardinals, and even one of my Doves who keeps feeding from it in an awkward fashion from time to time.- The squirrels are not interested by it. That’s a big positive for me.- It is easy to refill, easy to clean, and seeds are kept dry even with heavy rain.I bought 2 and when this one becomes old and needs replacement, I will have one ready to go right away.Happy birds Happy Buyer

So pretty; only for small birds though
The media could not be loaded. So, first off, it’s such a pretty design, and easy to fill, and sturdy. However, the product picture is photoshopped and misleading. The birds in that picture would have to be 2 inches long! For real birds, the railing to stand on is much too small. I have seen cardinals use mine, but a blue jay just tried and— bless his heart— he kept trying over and over but he was just too heavy! He finally got a bite by hanging on the bar like doing a chinup and stretching his neck forward, but after that he gave up to pursue easier food. If you are looking to feed finches this would be great! On the upside, no crows are going to bully all the other birds at the feeder. And no squirrels have gotten to mine (and I have a ton of squirrels…)Update: OK, I’m updating to 4.5 stars (rounded to 5) — cardinals are visiting regularly, and cute little finches love it. When leaving seed out on surfaces, the finches never seemed to feel safe enough to come eat. I hung this feeder high up, from the branch of a tree. Little birds seem to feel very safe eating from it.Picture of a cardinal so you can get idea about size.Third update: going up to 5+ stars! The cardinals and finches absolutely love it, AND the bluejays have figured out how to use it! (Video attached.). The squirrels have also figured out how to get the seeds— by hanging from their back feet from the overhead branch and stretching down to grab some seeds. It’s all extremely amusing! Highly recommended, now that the wildlife has learned the ropes.

Nice, easy, but not completely squirrel proof.
I wouldn't call this squirrel proof, the little terrorists still get the seeds, but they haven't figured out how to open it yet, so they steal much less than they used to with the easy to snap closed lid. My little visitors seem to like it, and it's easy to fill. While it's jut plastic, its still kind of cute and I like the purple color I chose. No regrets with this purchase!

Perfect
I absolutely love this feeder and so do my little birds! It’s super easy to fill and holds up great. A spoiled squirrel periodically gets on it when I don’t have peanuts out for it 😂 and it holds up just fine to that little chunky butts weight. It’s never once came undone and spilled. I would 100% buy this again!

Bird feeder.
Pretty but I thought it was a heavy thick plastic. Its thin plastic. The appearance is pretty. Still the squirrel get to it but I will get a protector. Easy to fill.

Easy fill and close
Great bird feeder. Super easy to refill because of the open design and great hinge closing mechanism that doesn’t trap birdseed. Much better than my old feeder where I had to clear the seeds before I could close it. Higher capacity is great, and I no longer have to refill each day.

Cheap looking, but the birds love it.
As has been pointed out by other reviewers, this feeder has one big design flaw and one small flaw. The big flaw is that the central hanging cable runs through the center of the feeder and allows water to quickly enter the seed chamber. The fix is really easy however. The wire cable has a loop at the top for hanging, and the loop is secured with a oval compression sleeve. Take a piece of round plastic thin enough to work with, thick enough to stay firm in the weather (i used a thermal sealing cap from a pill bottle) punch a tiny hole in the center of that plastic, and pinch the top of the wire loop flat, thread it through the tiny hole, and then push the plastic piece down the wire until it sits on top of the oval compression sleeve After expanding the wire loop again, you have a wire hanger that will now shed any water off the wire cable, onto the brown roof of the feeder. No water can infect the seed chamber. Make sure the plastic part you put on has a diameter of at least 1.5 inches. The second minor flaw is that to fill the seed chamber you unlatch the roof and it hinges down. However if one is not careful, you will spread seeds everywhere in the process. Solution, be careful when opening and filling. Now personally i found the feeder a little plasticy and cheesy. However the local birds absolutely love it, they started using it within 4 hours of me hanging it, and it is the most visited feeder we have.We do not have a squirrel problem in these parts, so i cannot relay any information about that particular issue. But the local songbirds gave it 5 stars ...

Tough easy to use feeder birds love it.
When I purchased this, I glued a large plastic plate to the bottom because I wanted his little seed to fall out into my rock as possible. I had it probably a month and a bear came along ripped it down, opened it up ate all the seeds and left. I went out. I thought it would be ready for the garbage, but all I had to do is snap it back shot and hang it up again. I couldn’t believe it. I’ve had so many of my birdfeeders wrecked by bear or coon, but this one tops them all. Very inexpensive the birds absolutely love it and I’m going to buy a second one.
