Syndicate Home & Garden Floating Orb Garden Kit, Includes Glass Container, Stone, Soil and Moss

I made them for gifts and they came out absolutely awesome!! Only thing that was a issue was the way they were packed for shipping.

Maybe I’m naive, but I assumed the 46 & SPRUCE Floating Orb Garden Kit would include a succulent. At the time of writing this review (November 2020), there are only pictures of the box and the completed terrarium. The box itself shows a filled terrarium with a succulent.This kit does NOT include a succulent.Nor does the kit include the terrarium tools shown in one of the product photos, or the frame to hang the terrarium from.The kit does include the glass orb, a bag of soil mix, a bag of hydro stones, and a bag of green moss.Just something to keep in mind, if you’re buying this for a gift.The glass orb is wrapped in bubble wrap to prevent breaking. It’s a good size, and does have a flat bottom so it doesn’t have to hang to be displayed.

I am a brand new succulent plant plantter, so I am not great with this! The instructions were very clear of exactly what I had to do. The only thing I was confused about is the image had soil at bottom and rocks at top but the instruction said rock at bottom and soil at top. I'm thinking it doesn't matter? Anyhow, this thing came everything except the plant itself. It came with the rocks, soil, and moss. I didn't care for the moss. I think it made it messy. There was plenty of soil, more than you need for sure so I saved it for other plants I plan to have. There were extra rocks and moss too. It is made of glass and not plastic! So it's nice but be very careful. I didn't hang it up. I am just going to let it sit on counter ledge instead and it does sit. So this was nice. It looks super cool. It's a little hard to put everything in since you are having to put it in from the front opening but I was able to do it. Overall, I think this is great. I used succulent cuttings by the way that you can also order online. I don't mind having another one. I would get another shape though just to have a variety.

I have a lot of terrariums - some very expensive. This is a great kit. The fact that it comes with moss, rocks, and 'soil' make it an excellent bargain. It does not come with a stand - but it can sit anywhere without a stand. So the difference between this and a much more expensive terrarium is the weight of the items. The glass on this terrarium is thin, making it very lightweight. The "rocks" and "soil" are made from very lightweight materials. They look identical to my much heavier terrariums that are full of river rock, but this is super lightweight, even when it is fully setup. I did not think I would like that - but it looks just as good as my heavier/more expensive terrariums and it's just as sturdy. It's much better for hanging, since it weighs a fraction of my other heavier ones. I have grown to love this terrarium and I would recommend it to anyone and buy another one as my next terrarium. This would be an amazing gift for anyone who might like a little nature in their life, but doesn't necessarily have a green thumb, or for someone who wants something maintenance free. It looks expensive and is beautiful, and it has everything you need in one kit. Worthy of 5 stars.

I made a small zen garden using this Orb with pretty air plants. I used some rocks that I have at home and I placed air plants. It turned out prefect! The glass seems a bit thin but it would be okay if you don’t drop it to the ground. Overall, it is a very pretty Orb. You can make a air plant pot like I did.

I got the Syndicate Home & Garden Floating Orb Garden Kit to host a succulent in a terrarium style.I like this concept because it prevents over-watering. For mine, I chose a special Tillandsia. The included instructions are all in French but one side of the box (if you kept it) has instructions in English.Once you use the provided media and add your plant, that's really it. The glass vessel is large and clear. The provided hanging jute is kind of weak so I'd recommend replacing it with something more substantial to prevent eventual softening, rot and dropping the orb on the ground or floor.The quality is great and the appearance is very nice. I've gotten compliments on it. This would work well for any easy to find and buy cactus, moss, tiny orchid or succulent.

This will sound crazy, but this is going to be one of the hit presents for my 7 yo son. He's obsessed with botany, and particularly adores succulents. We often go into the grocery store, where he begs for those overpriced versions of these orbs - you know, the ones that are about 3" across with dead and dying plants inside. This beautiful, large orb will allow him to go crazy and choose his own plants to add.I actually was surprised that this came with everything you need other than the plants. You get the gravel (hydrostones), moss, and soil mix. And the size is so much larger than most of the ones I've seen. This is really fantastic!

This is a great kit. It comes with a nice globe well packaged so it doesn't break. It also comes with some white rocks (called grow stone hydro stones). It comes with some moss and some soil mix.The globe feels very fragile and it will certainly break should you drop it. However, it's a nice large globe and it is so lovely. It has a flat bottom so although the photos on the side of the box shows it hanging, you don't have to hang it.This is set up to hold small plants (like a small succulent) but it can easily hold other plants like air plants, or other small, slow growing plants.This is very giftable.
