Not a Gigabit Adapter
I bought this adapter because they advertised it as USB 3.1 Gigabit adapter,So I was expecting to get maximum gigabit speed on this adapter Today I ran some tests using Iperf, netperf and Mikrotik Bandwidth test, the maximum possible speed on this adapter was 249Mbps up/down. I own AmazonBasics Gigabit adapter and I can reach 800Mbps with that low cost USB 3.0 adapter! The only good thing about this adapter is android compatibility, I tried it on Galaxy S9 and S10+, ethernet appeared in connection setting almost instantly.I have to send it back to the seller.

Gets HOT fast
It works. But it gets extremely hot after just 15 minutes of use. I am not sure if it is safe to use because of the heat it generates.

Loved it
The product is excellent. Although the orientation of the adapter is upside down. But nevertheless, the product is good.

Overall good adapter
Overall a good adapter. The cable is flexible and seems to be durable. One con is that it gets hot while used for a long time which affects the speed.

Not as described
This is advertised as a Gigabit Ethernet Adapter but when I used this adapter on my Windows 10 laptop and I connected it directly to a 10/100/1000 auto sensing Gigabit switch it could only achieve a 100mbps full duplex connection. When I fixed the port speed on the adapter and on the switch to Gigabit/Full-Duplex, the adapter didn't connect. So I tried fixing the connection to Gigabit/Half-Duplex and still the adapter didn't connect.I may have a faulty unit or this adapter is only a 100mbps device. I gave it 3 stars because it is still plug and play, very easy to use and in most cases 100mbps is still way better than WiFi.

Works perfectly
Works perfectly. I actually prefer this to just sticking an Ethernet cable straight into the machine - the clips on Ethernet cables fail with repeated used, which is a PITA if it's one you've wired half way around your house. No such problem with the USB connector. Also the braided cable bends more readily than a standard CAT5e cable and much, much easier than a CAT6 cable. Perfect product and a great price. Does get surprisingly hot during use, but that hasn't affected anything yet.

Plug and play ethernet adapter to USB-C
Not that much to say about an adapter other than that this one was simply plug and play and works without fault. I'm using it for my new MacBook Pro 15", the latest 2016 edition. It looks a mess having to have all these adapters but it is not their fault. The fact that it is black rather than space grey makes no difference to me. The casing is plastic but looks and feels solid enough not to break easily. It is very light-weight.

Good quality, cheap, works with 2016 MacBook Pro
I use this with my late 2016 MacBook Pro. In the past I have used a Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapter for older MacBook Pros. This is small, lightweight and simple to use. As it uses USB 3.1 it has more than enough bandwidth to deliver 1Gbps connectivity. I was able to transfer data at 120MB/s (this obviously depends on your network and the other device you're connecting to).
