Yes, the mask will light up in a moderate to quite room includingn parties and festivals environment. It has an ambient sound sensor design which you can adjust min max. As described it detects any sound/noise/music/vibration around you (no plug in required). Q: How do i choose the color and can i eat with it on?

Hi Joshua, color sold as is. As shown in pic description The graphic EQ color is yellowish-green (fluorescent green when lit up in dark). LOL sorry no eating when you have the mouth mask on ;)
