The dust was all over the box.

Arrived with dust pouch exploded open. Dust all over the box and leaking out. The house works as expected.

I use this for my chinchilla’s dust bath. It contains the dusk from flying all around and since it’s clear plastic you can watch the show. It came on time as promised. Worth every penny!

My chinchilla originally came with a blue dust container almost identical to this one but over the years he chewed a hole in it so I had to repurchase. This one is just like it (except the color, but I am pretty sure my chinch could care less that it's hot pink lol). I was a little wary to purchase since I saw so many reviews talking about not being able to get that annoying hot glued dust packet out of the bottom. However, all I needed to do after removing the packet (which thankfully didn't break open) was soak in very hot water then scrape off with an exacto knife and then scrub as hard as possible with a scrubby sponge. There is still some residue left from the glue but not a huge glob of it anymore. Over all, I give it 4 stars because everything else about it is fantastic (shipped on time and chinchilla loves it).

It seems like the manufacturer may have heard the glue concerns. As recent reviews said, it’s not an issue anymore. This is a great hideaway or even litter box for rats. My girls are litter trained but love to jump in the bed and hang out, and I wanted something more conservative than their regular open pan boxes, so I tried this. They have no problem going in and using it, and it keeps my bed clean. I will also use it as a smaller "travel" litter box to place around houses when we travel with them.

Love the fact my oversized chinchilla can fit into it and its made for ALL sizes in chinchillas. I love the fact that it has hooks to hook onto the cage so it can be off the ground and my chinchilla (Serenity) cant move it. It also holds her body weight when she jumps on top of the bath house. it also comes with 1 big bag of dust for her fur i didnt even put in the entire bag just half due to it was already alot in there, I'm skeptical of buying again due to the only thing i didnt like was the fact its random colors and we can't decide on our own just in case we have a boy/girl. Luckily i got pink and I have a girl chinchilla. Whew (wipes forehead)

This does a great job at keeping chinchilla bathing dust out of the air in our house, but the awkwardly-large hole is difficult to hold Chewy in, especially for the little ones in our family. It's really quite large, and even though he has a big cage, we won't leave this inside because (a) it really doesn't fit very well, and (b) he would chew it all to pieces. It's better than having a bowl that would just make a dust mess everywhere, but I still feel like the problem of clean dust bathing isn't 100% solved as much as it would be if the bottom were bowl-shaped instead of half-pipe-shaped, and if it were smaller altogether.
