A supplemental booklet
It's meant to work alongside of whatever curriculum or class that your student is currently focusing/working on and through. The booklet isn't very long or in-depth but I find it helpful for extra work as well as using the included assessments to judge comprehension and weaknesses. I'm using the book to help strengthen common ideas and concepts found in English Grammar studies.

DD Loves it!
DD is 8 and she loves this. She says it is like SRA (I would not know so I'm just taking her word for it) and apparently that makes it good. I am now buying other books in the "Scholastic Success With ..." series.Often when doing books like this she grudgingly does a page or two, but with this book she wanted to do more, and wanted to do some more again the next day. She was also working on it independently, which was great.

There are errors in the answer key.
I was very saddened to see errors in the answer key. It is difficult for the children to check their work if the answer key is not correct. I hope Scholastic revises this book and corrects errors and in the future does a better job reviewing their material before it is printed.
