Mes balles de laine restent en place. La laine se déroule facilement et ne se mêle pas. La base est solide et reste en place grâce aux petits collants de caoutchouc en dessous. La tige est lisse et la laine glisse bien dessus sans s’accrocher.

I had no idea that these were available!!!!
I bought one similar to this made out of lucite/plastic and over the years the spindle that the yarn would break...When I bought it at a crafts convention in the '80s I bought plenty of extra of the spindles, and I thought they'd last me and if I broke one I'd be able to buy more....Well I was wrong, there was no way to buy more...I was heartbroken for years because I couldn't use the device that I Loved because it made crocheting so easy...One day I decided to look and see if Amazon had anything near to what my dear favorite crocheting helper and was delighted that these were available...I can say that I doubt that the spindle will probably never break on this one, it is not fragile like the lucite ones were...I think it's going to last me till the end of time....

Crazy but it works like that.
Works well, but not how you would think. The way thread is wound doesn’t allow it to unwind easily if the ball is sitting flat around the spindle. So I have it propped up on the spindle and voila! No issues unwinding.
