ProCase Hard EVA Case for ThermoPro TP20 / TP-08S / TP07 Wireless Remote Digital Kitchen Cooking Food Meat Thermometer with Mesh Pocket -Black

The case is well made and fits the TP 20 perfectly with pre-cut spaces for transmitter and receiver. Unlike the case made by ThermoPro this case has a mesh/zipper compartment in the lid that holds the probes (2 TP 20 probes and 2 grill probes) with room for an instant read thermometer.The case made ThermoPro has a "kangaroo pouch" in the lid with no closure. The probes are stored in the bottom of that case (next to the transmitter and receiver) and the cables must be wrapped around the spools they shipped with.I like the mesh/zipper pouch because I can coil the probe cables in big, loose wraps that reduce kinking. The case measurements on Amazon (12"W, 28"L, 9"H) are grossly incorrect. Actual measurements are closer to (4.75"W, 9.75"L, 3.75"H).

My husband was a bit confused when he opened this gift, as it's obviously purpose built. As soon as I explained it was for his ThermoPro TP08S Wireless Digital Meat Thermometer he was thrilled! It's a hardshell case with precise cutouts in the high density foam insert for the thermometer and and receiver - they fit flawlessly and since there's side finger cutouts they're also easy to get out of the foam. Dual sturdy zippers that open and close super smoothly with nice big tabs for gripping. The handle is sewn in the case covering, and looks to remain sewn in for the duration. Nice oversize handle too, with a rubber grippy thingie to help ensure you don't bounce the case off the ground. It's such a nice case I'm pretty sure the thermometer would be fine even then, although I hope we don't test that. His favorite part though is the mesh pocket for the probes, it zips completely closed so the probes aren't going anywhere until you want them out. Considering good thermometers aren't cheap, spending some to protect them isn't unreasonable and I feel like this case is a great value.

I was a little surprised to find that my TP20 did not come with a bag or case. With 4 separate things to keep track of, I knew I immediately needed a case else I'd lose a probe immediately. This one has plenty of cushioning, the zippered side is large enough for the probes and the plastic holders (I just loosely coil though and throw them in though). I'm not sure the case needed to be this big though, I think a smaller form factor would have been just as secure, and would be easier to pack.

An expensive thermometer needs to be taken care of, especially one with several pieces. This case is very sturdy and the inside has nice padding for the two units and a large netted pouch for the probes. I even have a couple of note cards in there (recipes). I continue to wrap the probe coils as they came originally to keep it neat. I would recommend getting this.

I am pretty sure that if you dropped this case from an airplane, the thermometer would not be damaged. It has a hard shell with plenty of foam inside. The double zipper is far more substantial than it actually needs to be. Additionally, it has a convenient carrying handle. I'm very happy that I purchased this one instead of one of the others I was looking at.
