I have a 2010 Trek 2.3. I had upgraded it over the years but it was looking 'old' with the 23c tires, natural aluminum colored rims, and the bundle of cables hanging off the front of the handlebars. I bought these to do one thing only, update the look of my bike. It definitely did that. They look absolutely fantastic and are worth every penny even before I talk about performance. I started with upgraded Mavic Aksium rims with cheap 23c training tires, which are a cheap update but were very lightweight and functioned very well. I bought these rims and added cheap 28c training tires. I did the same 36 miles route 2 days in a row, one with the old rims and one with the new. I also tried to control my heart rate so I wouldn't subconsciously 'try harder' one day over the next. Very unscientific and subjective results but long story short I finished the route with the new rims 8 minutes faster of the 36 miles. The results indicated I was able to ride faster with less effort. I actually think this is due to what you would not expect. Between the two wheelsets, I think the old wheels with smaller tires and purposely lightweight tubes are lighter than my new wheel/tire/tube combo. I felt like I was descending faster and once I got up to speed, I could carry that speed longer up the next hill before having to change gears. Maybe my theory is bad, but the wheels made a positive difference after one longer ride. One tip, when I switched over to the new rims, I took the 10 speed cassette off the old wheels and use it on the new. When I moved it I did not move over the spacer that allows the 10 speed cassette to be used on the 11 speed freehub. That was a mistake. The spacer between the two wheelsets were not the same size causing the new chain to make a strange noise when pedaling. I could have adjusted the rear derailleur to fix this, but I choose to just switch over the spacer from the old wheel to the new wheel and that fixed it. Just FYI. UPDATE: Please take the time to read some of the 1-star reviews and understand the limitations of this wheelset. Your safety very much depends on it. I live in the rolling hills (not mountains) of the Midwest. These wheels work wonderfully here with no issues at all. I still intend to put many many miles on them. If you ride in the mountains, or intend to do so with this wheelset, DO NOT BUY THESE RIMS. Long, mountainous descents with brakes applied can cause the bead to overheat and bulge or even shatter.

Well over 1000 miles and still like new. Rims still true, no cassette wobble. Hit a pothole pretty hard and it’s like nothing happened. Just picked up a Scott Addict and the first thing I did was swap these over from My old bike. They look great

Awesome carbon wheels for the price, I have to admit I was a bit apprehensive at first, but after reading review after review of how good this wheels are, I took the plunge and glad I did, saved me lots of $$$ on super high end wheels, ok, to the wheels, I've only had them for a brief time and noticed the difference on the first day, the bike is lighter of course but the wheels really begin to work for you when you're around the 20mph 32kph if you like using the metric system, you get the feel of the wheels pulling you along and can sustain the 20plus mph effortlessly, I wasn't able to that as easily with my stock wheel, i have the wheels mounted on my matt black trek emonda SL6, the bike looks femomenal as you would expect, ridden only 600+ miles and are performing very well, they are as true as you can get them, they come packaged fairly well considering the thickness of the box they come in, on about 7inches in width but placed in a manner that they are protected pretty good, sadly my wheel got lost on transit and had already cancelled the order, Amazon as usual, very promptly reimbursed me but like a month later they reappeared I had to drive to get them to a different usps location but after all was said and done I'm very happy with the wheels and highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade, I did re-payed for them again, the wheel come with everything you'll need, skewers for both font and back, the carbon pads and the valve extenders, let me address this extenders for those like me who didn't know, the wheels are too wide for a normal tube valve, I currently have 60mm valves and even those were too small for my pump to secure a tight seal, in come the valve extenders, you basically screw them in on top of your valve, now the valve has to be open and ready for air befor you screw the extender, when I tried this, disaster, I could not get a tight seal and was having trouble pumping air, the quick fix for this and only fix in my book is relatively simply, just wrap teflon/plumbers tape, about 5inches does the job, you do wrap only the top part that the extender is gonna screw to, be careful not to wrap the valve head, you're gonna need to screw that back in, I know some riders like to keep the extenders in all the time, I removed mine and keep them with you when you ride, only need one extender really, once you do this, no problems, one more thing, when pumping air you're gonna feel it very hard to pump, this is only temporary, what's happening is that the valve extender doesn't have the small pin that you see in all the pumps, the pin is for pressing the air valve down, you're also gonna briefly see higher psi on your pump but that's only when the air is pressing the valve down, it regulates almost right away and you immediately get the correct tire pressure, I hope this information helps someone, purchase the wheels, you won't be disappointed...one more tip, wrap the teflon tape to your spare tube, you're gonna need it if you get a flat...if don't want to deal with the tape and the extenders then just purchase the 80mm tubes and problem solved, the valve is now long enough to use a regular pump

Fitted nicely on my bike. Have not tried on long distance yet but worked well on short distance. Happy with purchase!
