ABUS83/80 300 Schlage Rekeyable Chrome Plated Brass Padlock, Zero Bitted

This is a high end, large padlock that is extremely high quality. It is NOT keyed yet (zero bitted ir zero keyed) frim the box. So you can key this lock to any other Schlage key that you already use, if you like. If you buy a SC1/SC4 key pin set, and rekey it yourself, be careful. If you remove pins and turn cylinder or core, you will brick the lock. If you use an incorrect pin, your key will not work and your key will not work. You can use a locksmith or you can learn how to rekey correctly. It comes with the zero key cuz it is NOT keyed. Schlage keys work... So don't complain about having only one key... It doesn't come with any useble key. Its not supposed to. Its how a locksmith receives these rekeyable locks also. Ita an awesome lock and now I have one key for all my padlocks. My keys fit all my ABUS 83 series locks. Goodbye 13 different keys!!!!

It’s a huge beast of a lock! Definitely worth the price. I almost returned it as I had trouble removing the plate at the bottom to remove the cylinder so I can rekey it. Decided to give it one last try, and was able to remove the plate after wiggling it out. Abus screwed up on this one as I have seen others just fall off without getting stuck.

Like the title says, this is a beast of a lock. Just the size is a deterrent for thieves to mess with my stuff. This lock plus a great commercial grade chain, locks my generator with no problem.

This lock is so intense…unfortunately it doesn’t fit a traditional uhaul lock so I couldn’t use it. I didn’t want to take stars away bc I didn’t measure

This lock is built like an M1a1 tank! Absolutely unreal. One solid chunk of machine steel that's been hardened. To only way to get this off is with a cutting torch or an angle grinder. 3.1 lbs of confidence.

Great lock - Zero bitted mean you must key it to your liking. Perfect and it now matches all my other locks.

It's huge and really heavy, making it an excellent option when you don't want to compromise on security. I saw a comment here where someone complained that it comes with only one key. This is true, but please DO NOT USE THE SUPPLIED KEY IN THE WILD! The single provided key is just to get the lock open so that you can replace the default zero-bitted pins inside the lock to match another key. This could be another key already on your keyring (your front door key for example) or a new key you buy separately. If you want to use an existing key you'll need a rekeying pinning kit (a box with LOTS of colour coded pins), or go the budget route and pick up a consumer grade rekeying kit which contains a specific key and just the pins to match just that key. If you don't rekey the lock, you're using the same flat, temporary key as everyone else buying an ABUS zero-bitted lock. (You'd be surprised how many locks you'll find in the wild that can be opened with the zero-bitted key because the owner didn't bother rekeying the lock).

Exceedes all expectations huge lock to say the least , could not be happier with purchase and does the job perfect would highly recommend ( would like a second 1 )
