Fast write speed, lives up to the hype.
This is my most used flash drive. It has write speeds 10x or better than most everything I've bought. It saves a lot of time. 30mbps-100+mbps depending on file types. Been using it for a while and it still works great. I tried a lot of drives that failed to live up to their specs, was really happy to find this. I haven't compared the performance to more expensive USB drives, but it does beat everything I have used.

Great drive for a Raspberry Pi
Works like a champ with my Raspberry Pi running Rasplex. I've installed the operating system on there and now the Raspberry Pi is much more responsive. I'm using it as a media centre and this device is perfect for that as the light is not too bright. This setup has been going the best part of a year and shows no sign of trouble. As a drive, this device is sleak, simple and clean. Works everywhere I plug it into, driverless as well. Pros: * Great design * Great speed * Works with a Raspberry Pi * Light is not obnoxious Cons: * None - (keep in mind that a con is not "another product is better")

Transcend - solid speed, solid drive - with software
This is just my latest Transcend - my first was a 1GB many years ago. The reason I bought the first one was it was one of the few capless drives at the time. And this is also capless - wouldn't buy any other kind. Also they come with (downloadable) security software, are quicker than most in my experience and I've never lost data. Delivery was quick and the slide operates smoothly. It's USB 3.0 - but backward compatible. Good. 4 stars because it could be faster - as in 'anything could be faster'. But speed is money and this is quick for the money. If / when I need another 64GB drive, it will most likely be a Transcend (unless there's a really big sale on something equal).

Great Value For Price and Speed
I will be quick and concise as possible with my review. I needed USB memory stick to transfer large blu-ray rips 10GB and television shows. I never purchased a USB memory but initially purchased this item: Kingston Digital DataTraveler 101 Generation 2 - 32 GB Flash Drive DT101G2/32GBZET http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004TS1J1S/ref=oh_o06_s00_i00_details However the write speed were atrocious writing at a speed of 5MB/Sec. It took about 40 minutes to transfer one blu-ray rip which was not going be practical. So returned it decided on this item which was only an extra $10 to get a USB 3.0 stick. Tested it out first on USB 2.0 since I'm chugging along with a five year old desktop that doesn't have USB 3.0. I'm getting speeds of 25MB/sec which is 500 percent faster than my returned USB 2.0 stick and transferring 10GB blu-rays around 4 minutes. I decided to purchase a PCIE express card to get USB 3.0 listed here: 2-Port USB 3.0 Super Speed PCI Express (PCIe) Card Adapter by JACOBSPARTS http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005JEOM4C/ref=oh_o04_s00_i00_details I went from 25MB/sec to about 35-40MB/sec write speeds with USB 3.0 I was thinking of also buying a "Patriot Supersonic 32 GB USB 3.0 High Performance" stick, however this item was $20 more about 33 percent more with reviewers claiming 60-70MB/sec write speeds on USB 3.0. It has high reviews but always be careful with post-purchase rationalization with more expensive items getting better reviews simply just for being more expensive. This item was plenty fast enough for my needs and the marginal difference for paying 33 percent more for about marginal transfer speed increase that would probably shaved off out 1 minute from a transfer time of 4-5 minutes did not justify the higher price. This item earns five stars for the price, speed, and value of having faster speeds.

Best 16GB Flash Drive I've Bought
I'm a fan of the (older, non-neutered) OCZ Diesel flash drives. I am also a fan of Transcend flash drives in general. Reading the reviews here, I was a bit worried before I purchased the 16GB JetFlash 700. I'm glad I did purchase it, though. This is the fastest performing USB flash drive I own. I've not benchmarked it to compare 'measurements' with other drives, but I also don't buy 'performance' flash drives with flashy enclosures for obscenely high prices, either. I do not own a USB 3.0 capable computer, but none of the flash drives I own (including this one) have flash chips that seem capable of exceeding the interface speed of USB 2.0, let alone USB 3.0. The folks on here complaining about USB 3.0 not making a difference with the performance of this drive are simply not familiar with the detailed reality of the technology they are using. The bottleneck is not the USB port on their computer, it's typically the flash chips. I'm using the two of these I have as diagnostic boot drives running OS X Lion, and will likely end up purchasing more of these things in the relatively near future as they are nearly as responsive as a USB 2.0 hard disk at boot. Hopefully the 32GB version will be available thru Amazon directly one of these days, as I need to update my larger capacity flash drive collection soon.

Ugh! Dead on Arrival
I had a similiar experience to reviewer 'rd' in Jan 2012; the flash arrived quickly but as soon as I put it into my laptop usb port, it flickered a blue light then seemed to go dead. I attempted to find a sweet spot, and during almost 15 min of trying, I was able to recreate the blue light for about 2 seconds, but only when holding the flash drive. I tried 2 different computers and same result. I have 2 other flash drives (both Transcend) and I swapped them in really quick to make sure I wasn't a problem with the USB connection, but they worked find. Sadly this 3.0 was DOA. I've always had good experiences with Amazon, and definately feel this is a rare one-off where I've received something defective, but since it seems to be a repeat issue for several people, the source must be with the product itself. Hopefully Amazon will stand behind it, but the hassle of the return shipping for such a small item pains me. On another note, for those curious, this 3.0 flash is considerably larger and more boxy than the equivalent Transcent 2.0 version. I have both, and initially was a little disspointed when receiving the 3.0 as it looks so much bigger. The 3.0 was not too big to block the side-by-side set of USB entry ports on my laptop, but it just isn't as petite as the smaller 2.0.

Transcend USB 3.0 700 series [32Gb]
Does exactly what it says on the box (packaging) works superbly on USB3.0.. excellent flow of data and even on USB 2.0 it is faster than their earlier models (300 series).. VFM? (Value for Money) .. I would say yes without hesitation. I compared the price to may 'rivals' and including Transcend's own website and I still saved .. [Amazon included free delivery and no additional import tax] 5 Star ***** Rating Excellent quality Smmoth design Neon Blue LED DATA Stream indicator Neon Blue LED Power light Replacement tops available from the manufacturer [should you lose it] Lifetime Warranty Yes.. definitely ticked all the boxes ===================================== As of 30/05/13 Drive failed.. constant blue flashing LED and unable to access drive using the Transcend Recovery software.. even by using CMD in three different Windows OS [Vista, 7 and 8 Pro] there was no reading the drive using 3.0 or 2.0 Drive will have to be sent back to Transcend for a replacement... Reliability is now a concern.
