Mine exploded as well first setup, first shot. A perfect .277 hole in the center of the LED and a fist nice fist sizehole in the south end where the battery came flying out. Word of wisdom ; if your scope is mounted 4" high , you must aim 4" high above center or yours will explode as mine did, duh. Sorry but really glad others are having same problem as me. Makes me feel less stupid.

how do i edit data from the chronograph?

First you have to save the group. Then open the group you wish to edit under saved groups. Then select edit in the menu options.

anyone tried to use this to chrono paintball guns?

HOwdy, as long as the paintball gun shoots over 5 feet per second it will work. I do recommend some way of shielding the front of the chronograph in order to protect from paintballs that rupture coming out of barrel.

Does anyone know if this will pick up a .177 round?

I've used mine on .177-.454 airguns. Works great
