My second grader loves these books. He is obsessed with diary of a Wimpy kid, so this was a great series to transition to! It’s good also for their vocabulary level and I didn’t find any words that were harder than “tactical“, or “contraption”. My son was also dying, laughing at some lines in the first book. I also appreciate the hardcover that will stand the test of time, and the rough hands of a seven-year-old.

I bought this box set because my grandson reads them. We will have more to talk about on our next video chat.
