ATD Tools 81045 Heavy Duty Convertible Creeper

I looked at quite a few creepers before I decided on this one. I was mostly in the market for a low sturdy garage stool for when I'm working on brakes, suspension, and other mid-height tasks. Crawling around on my knees was getting old and constantly getting up and down didn't cut it. The convertible construction covered two birds with one stone. I also researched the casters on them and most were pretty shoddy. These are much higher quality than any others anywhere near this price point. They're NOT the hard black plastic ones that get gravel stuck in them and then gouge up when they bind. They also have good bearings on the spinners and the wheels with very little free-play. The covering also seems thick and durable.When I found this, the first thing that stood out was the inherent stability of the base when it was in the stool mode. My driveway isn't as smooth as a gym floor and I didn't want to get dumped because I rolled over a pebble or a crack. The extra padding for the head was another selling point. While I don't ever plan to nap on it, the additional cushion naturally puts your head at a good working angle. You can work without the project directly over your eyes without straining your neck.Like others have mentioned, it is a bit taller than other creepers, but I couldn't comfortably get under and work on most non-trucks if I were on a wafer. Ramps and/or jacks are pretty much essential unless you're way skinny, very limber, or you have a vehicle with good ground clearance.Potential problem: It isn't always where I left it because my kids like riding it down my slanted driveway. No spills so far. They keep telling me I should try it out. Very tempting but I feel a bit too old.

Bought this to replace a wooden creeper I had for way too many years. First time I used it it met the expectations. Used it as a creeper and seat. Rolls easy, comfortable pad. And it is comfortable as a seat.The frame and wheels are heavy duty.

Very sturdy, well built. The caps just pop off the ends, nothing gasket maker couldn't fix haha. I'm a diesel tech, and the wheels are VERY HIGH, but they do make it over zip ties🤣. Hard to get under Tractors from the front, that's the only downfall, it is quite hefty as well weight wise. The head cushion is also long and higher and not flush with the rest of the body so you can't sit all the way up it or your back is on the head rest making it slightly uncomfortable. Thinking of getting smaller wheels.

Better creeper ever. It’s a really nice deal and worth the money

I'm not a professional mech, but I do like to slide around under my lifted Jeep TJ and/or sit whilst performing routine maintenance and equipment checks. This creeper is comfortable, of good quality and design. The product arrived without damage and the time to put together was approx. 15-20 minutes (remember I'm not a professional mech). I'm not a little person, and had one of them plactic jobbies and after 2/3 months it craked during the cold months - and it cured me of plastic creepers. Of course if you have to run around in a shower to get wet, then get a cheap plastic one.

This is a very durable, heavy duty creeper. I bought it for my (picky) husband and he really likes it! It's very well made, rolls easily and converts to a seat easily. I am very happy with this purchase. Not to mention, I recieved in less than 24 hours after I ordered it!

I received the creeper, but no wheels or castors.

It's very comfortable and durable, changes easily from flat to sitting and back. Casters swivel smoothly even over rough terrain. With all that the fact that it is 4 inches taller than any other creeper renders it almost useless for anything but trailers. The one flaw it that the wheels are under the frame instead of beside it.
