Well made and gets the job done in a slim package.

I’m an old Case knife collector. I’ve handled hundreds of knives over the years. The good, the bad, and the ugly. This is a good one. I stopped carrying a pocket knife years ago. Didn’t really need one anymore, plus just the times we’re in, why add a headache? But recently I wanted to open some packages at my church, and wished I had my old trusty EDC at hand. So I decided to compromise, and just get a small knife I could put on my keychain. Enter the Victorinox Bantam. At just over 3 inches closed, it’s the perfect length between form and function. It has a very usable wide, 2 1/4 inch long blade. Suitable for most light duty applications. It opens firmly in place and folds with a good snap. The bottle opener/screwdriver has a firm half stop that I wasn’t expecting. The main blade does not. I may or may not get around to using the small tweezers and toothpick, but would it be a Swiss Army knife without them? All in all, for the very reasonable purchase price, this offering (from the legendary company Victorinox) is the deal of the century. Take it from an old knife collector, you won’t be disappointed.

O Bantam não é um modelo popular da Victorinox, talvez por não oferecer muitas ferramentas. Mas se você busca uma excelente lâmina em um tamanho bastante leve, que não seja tão pequena como o Victorinox Classic ou não tão grande como os modelos de 111mm, este modelo é uma ótima opção. Atenção para o fato de que o modelo tem 84mm, e é ligeiramente menor do que o tamanho mais comum dos chamados "médios", os quais tem 91mm (p.e Compact, Hunter, Tinker). Não acho que esta diferença impeça cortes simples, e o ganho no peso (só 30g) e tamanho para guardar são interessantes para muitas situações.

Is the cheapest victorinox out there, and definitely doesn't disappoint, can be a little big for a keychain, I think classic SD is more suited for that, but its a great starter EDC.

La qualité est là. Petit canif avec fonction de base, discret et léger, très bien affûté d'origine. Rien à voir avec les répliques asiatiques qui sont deux fois moins chère... mais dix fois moins solide et efficace.
