My fault for not reading the dimensions and just going off the picture, but I was expecting this to be able to hold my makeup brushes. It is much shorter than expected, so any brushes just tip over. It however, is perfect for eyeliners & lip liners....anything that is a bit shorter than a regular cosmetic brush.
