Unlike other reviews, mine top is quality! Pockets are great, nice top! Arms are not loose.
I read reviews before I buy anything on Amazon. In some reviews, I read that this p.j. top is "poor quality" but I bought it anyway and mine is great! In most of those reviews, the buyer stated that after a single washing the seams came apart. Mine has been washed 6-7 times in 2 weeks (I didn't buy a lot of new things for post-surgery so I wear it at night and often during the day) and it hasn't had any problems at all! All seams are sturdy here! (see photos.) Another thing I like about it is, post-surgery I am not wearing a bra and this top is thick enough to prevent embarrassing "nipple-poke" with my teenage son in the house (sorry if that's TMI.) I love the color, I love the fabric, and I love the pockets inside for my drains! I only have one complaint: I would hope the armholes would be looser on an XL. They are not tight, but there is no slack on my arms (my relaxed bicep measures 13" around. So, I don't have small arms, nor huge arms.) The rest is roomy, which I wanted (I normally wear an L but wanted the top extra big for comfort.) The trunk/body of the P.J. top is roomy as I wanted, and even roomy through the shoulders. It's only the band that crosses my biceps that fits with no extra slack. My recommendation: a great buy as long as you don't have particularly large arms! At this point, I wish I had bought one more in another because I wear and wash this one so often. Also, I DO see myself using this past the surgery recovery period. It's comfortable enough for non-surgery times ahead! So that's an unplanned bonus!

Comfortable and practical
I was concerned about the drains after surgery, but this shirt helped so much. It was comfortable, easy to put on and the pockets were in a good place.

Must have after surgery
I practically lived in this for almost 2 weeks after surgery. Very soft and comfortable with large pockets. It looks more like a pajama shirt so I wore a different shirt when I had to leave the house. But this is a great value for the money I spent. I ordered 1 size up and it was perfect.

Sizes are correct
The shirt is a little large. But you need the room. Pockets hold drain balls well.

It works, but could be better.
Although I found this top helpful after my double mastectomy, I realized it wasn't really made from the perspective of someone who had actual need for it. For the price and the fact that I only needed it for 7 days, it was good for me. Below are my pros and cons, from an actual patient perspective:PROS:- it is soft and didn't irritate my skin- the pockets were a good size and the fact that there are 2 on each side allows for flexibility on where the drains are placed, helpful for comfort- the pockets are deep enough that the entire bulb and some of the tubing completely fit inside so it didn't have contact with my skinCONS- I washed this top 5 times in the week that I had it, and it is already falling apart (the batting in tearing away)- there are thick hard seems in the arm pits. This is the worst design flaw since most people who have a mastectomy have lots of pain and soreness in the armpit area, so this was extremely uncomfortable for me.- the material that this is made of is not breathable and made life a little uncomfortable due to my chemo induced hurt flashes. So, would I buy this again, probably not. But I'm glad I had it for the short time I needed it. Overall, it was more helpful than annoying. If I needed it for more that a week though, I'm not sure it would have made it.

Structure kinda blows apart after being washed
You're probably considering this product and another that looks identical but is said to have smaller armholes. I bought both and while the other did in fact have sleeves that fit just a little too tight, the construction of the garment feels overall more competent than this one's. At least, it seems to be of the same batch as others that show how slanted the fabric was cut before being assembled. Also the buttonholes fell apart pretty easily and the interfacing around them ripped apart awkwardly in the wash. That being said, I ended up getting 3 of these. The fabric is very stretchy and perhaps breathes a little better than the competitor's. I look and feel shlubby as hell, but it gets the job done and I might be able to fix them up when I regain full motion of my arms. But while I'm in seclusion and no one can see me, they are fine enough.

Works well for after mastectomy
Gifted to my friend after her surgery and she wore it most of the time to tuck the draining bags in. It is very soft material. Button front shirts were a necessity too.

Perfect Top
This is a perfect top for when you’ve had a double or single mastectomy. It has helped a lot in my recovery. I’ve had a double mastectomy, and flap surgery that limits my arm movements. But this top has helped, and is helping in my recovery. It is soft and very comfortable. I have worn it as a pajama top, as well as a top to walk around in during the day, and to go see my dr in. I highly recommend this top to anyone who is having a mastectomy. It also helps hold the drain tubes very well. And I can hold 2 jp drain bulbs in each pouch. I had 6 of them. And they held perfectly.

Super useful
Bought this for my 81 year old mum. She only needed to use it for about a week, and it was really helpful. It’s soft and has a bit of structure, so she could receive well wishers feeling comfortable. Held the drainage bag in deep pockets that are on both sides. Washed well, easy to get on when you can’t lift your arms. Keep the bag contained while she was in bed. They should sell these in a 2-pack so you could wash one and wear the other. Of all the things we bought to make recovery easier, this was the most useful.

You need this
This made everything easier, not the sexiest but the comfort is great, take it one size larger then you would, not that it’s small but you are in need of comfort not look! And this really helped me to be comfortable!!I truly recommend if you have drains! It makes it easy to manage the drains, I had the tubes between the buttons so it would not hang loose! Really don’t question it, it is worth it, I have 2, and it was the best purchase for my mastectomy!

Important post-mastectomy garment
I bought this garment as a sleeping shirt and summer blouse. I bought a grey and a black. They are stylish enough to wear with summer shorts. They are easy to wash. The interior pocket held my two drains. So much easier than wearing a drain belt. The buttons were easy to close. I wear a size 12 but I bought an XXL so that it would be easy to get my arm into the sleeves. So happy to have them.Catherine

Works well but doesn't breathe
3.5 stars. It's super soft and does the job. Has 2 pockets on the inside on each side. So a total of 4 pockets. My only issue is that the material doesn't breathe... at all. You can only sleep on your back after a double mastectomy. You don't realize how much you move during the night to stay comfortable while asleep. Not being able to move made my butt numb and my back super sweaty. The material of the shirt, while soft, didn't help with the sweat issue. If anything, it kept me wet and then I'd get cold from it. No what you want when you're body is trying to heal from all the trauma of surgery.
