The Curious Douchebag's Guide to Coffee
This is an okay book. As a current barista, I expected more in terms of actual drinks and subtleties to make established drinks better. There are a decent amount of recipes that the average person would be able to make, but most of this book is long, drawn out history that nobody actually cares about. There's just so much unnecessary information. However, the book itself is designed beautifully and it feels very high quality. The content just leaves much to be desired. Also, the author comes off extremely snobby which makes reading this book very infuriating at times. There's always some pointless quip about something. This makes it come off like I'm reading "The Curious Douchebag's Guide to Coffee." Some of this information is helpful, but a lot of it is pointless. I'd say this is a good resource if you want to learn more about the actual history of coffee, but his douchey syntax comes off super unprofessional.

Well Made!
Beautiful book, i know there are others like it, but i am not disappointed at all in this one. The pictures are beautiful, the cover is nice and thick, the information in it covers history, background of drinks, "myths" if you will around coffee, and the modern day. As a barista i really enjoyed this book and it looks cool on the coffee table too :)!

Useful for home baristas
This book has helped me to create my own vanilla lattes, and iced coffees. The book has lots of information on the "how to" and much more. In the end, I have learned to create a product that tastes equally as good, if not better, than the commericial giant(s). The book covers everything from the history of coffee, to brewing methods, to equipment, and recipes, etc. In my opinion, this is definitely a useful book for someone looking to make their own handcrafted coffee.

Great coffee table book that is both beautiful and interesting
This book is very interesting and informative. I was hoping it covered a few more variations on coffee drinks, but the technical knowledge about the entire coffee process more than makes up for it. The book itself is gorgeous, with thick paper and beautiful color photos and artwork. The cover and binding are really impressive and make this a very attractive coffee table book. I've enjoyed reading it.
