this collar was huge. somewhere on the page it said good for 13'' plus, but you would have to remove half of the links to do that and then it would not do its job quite right. It is also very heavy gauge so is quite heavy on a medium size dog. So my problem is not with the product, as much as it is with the description. I think you would need a large mastiff for this collar. So regarding those people who say this is animal abuse; it is actually much kinder than the sinch-choke traditional collars. try one on yourself and see what you prefer. My dog would prefer to go without a collar but she is very very headstrong and despite a lot of training when she see water or another dog she becomes uncontrollable. My wife prefers to use a haulty that pulls the nose down when they pull but my dog prefers this over the haulty.
