That's not my duck…

My son and I are huge fans of Usborne touchy-feely books, we have read them together since he was a few months old. He is now 11 months and thoroughly enjoys each book! Each board book is perfect for babies and toddlers to handle without you having to worry about torn pages. They withstand drooling, biting and very rough handling and offer a fantastic interactive story with vibrant and colourful illustration.Each page begins with "That's not my duck" and reads;It's beak is too shinyIt's wings are too softIt's feet are too bumpyIt's tummy is too fuzzyIt's eggs are too smoothThe final page reads " THAT's my duck! Her ducklings are so fluffy.Each page has a corresponding texture for your child to discover.My son loves to point out the textured section and eagerly awaits my praise and claps his hands. I treasure our reading time together each day and have in excess of 10 Usborne touchy-feely books and still enjoy each one!I hope this review was helpful.

I bought this book as my 1 year old is OBSESSED with ducksThe touch and feel parts aren't the greatest(the bumpy feet aren't bumpy and the smooth eggs aren't attention grabbing enough)It also arrived with a deep scratch taken out the front and the beak on the front page was dirty and isn't attached very well. Several of the pages were stuck together so it has taken off some of the colour when they been pulled apart.

Just doesn't get my babys attention. He really doesn't like this book or series. We've had it for over 6 months. I'll open it, point out the animals, he'll find the mouse but he's not interested. I bought several in this series and the only one he tolerates is 'that's not my prince', as this was the first one we bought!

I have a one-year-old who is obsessed with ducks.Do you enjoy I read it to him maybe three or four times a day. It doesn’t get boring as it is such a short story it’s really nice.

Our daughter of 1 loves these books! We have quite the collection now so have a variety of animals, transportation or object for her to read though.The wording is short enough for our bedtime routine for her not to be bored. We also ask her to point out the other things on the pages, such as flowers, bugs and of course the mouse! Always spot the mouse!!Good quality, well made books with interesting textures for them to explore and have lasted plenty of knocks and handling!
