River Flows in You and Other Eloquent Songs: For Solo Piano

I half agree with the 3 star reviewer. True, the tunes are relatively simple. But actually I don't mind that per se. A tune shouldn't be hard to play just for the sake of being hard to play. The easier the better - as long as it is still proper and true to the tune, in my view!But what I do mind is when that simplicity comes at the expense of the tune itself.I really wish I had paid attention to the page numbering before buying. The main tune I was interested in is "Somewhere in Time". I had visions of really getting lost in playing that one. I really like it.Except, this arrangement is only 2 sides of paper long - it could have been be printed on a single sheet of the book (as it happens it's on one side of one leaf and one side of another)! And the print isn't small either. And there are no repeat sections in it.Granted, that does mean no page turns. But it really doesn't feel like the proper tune.It feels like the tune if over before it's even begun; it feels to me nothing but a token gesture of an inclusion.I really do feel quite disappointed.That said, I'm liking the other tunes, so it's not a complete loss.But I do feel disappointed that the main tune for which I bought it ('Somewhere in Time') feels like nothing more than an introductory taster. And a taster that doesn't to me, really strictly seem to be to the proper style of the tune either.

The main reason why I purchased this piano book was to get River Flows in You simply because it is a beautiful piece. However, I haven't even looked at River Flows in You yet because I have become encapsulated is so many of the other beautiful pieces in this book.An absolutely stunning collection

Love this book, simple pieces and some others that are more difficult. If you love the simplicity of Einaudi pieces you'll love the songs in this book. For intermediate level pianist.

Lovely selection of works for higher grades. I use this regularly with my students. A couple are easier but I would suggest the most enjoyment would be from a grade 5 plus pianist
