But this if you have money to burn
I am completely disappointed by this thoughtless and superfluous book. The recipes have overlong lists of ingredients which not even a well stocked cupboard would include and they are mostly for 6 (and often even more) servings as if you are likely to throw regular dinner parties for people on the 5:2 diet. Do not buy this book unless you have money to burn.

This book advocates smaller portions = less calories
this book contains lots of healthy recipies but they are not particularly low calory. Whilst they may be fine for the '5' days, on the '2' days one would require recipies to 'fill you up' with high roughage as well as protein to stave off the hunger pangs as much as possible on allowed max. of 600-700kcals of food intake

great variety, from savoury to sweet!
This book has a great variety of recipes from meals to snacks with portion calorie for each recipe. I especially loved that they included sweet treats. I have a sweet tooth and need a little-something-nice or I will fail at the first hurdle. They have plenty of small-portioned cookies to get you through your toughest 5:2 days!

value for money useful
useful book and some good thing that you can make from the book and I brought this book for a family member and she likes some of the things from the book by catherine McDonald

Like the recipes
Like the choice of recipes. It's easy to get into a boring set routine of food on a diet, but with so many recipes & good advice in the introduction it's a useful addition. The 5:2 diet is working for me and this is a bit of meal inspiration to keep me on track.
