Clever Blockbuster
Flawless, intense, well done!A very interesting explanation about why Cage (an appropriate name for this character) gets trapped in a time loop, and how this is connected with the rest of the storyline.Groundhog Day is way deeper than this action-based version. This is still a clever, modern and accessible presentation about reincarnation and self realisation.Amazing casting and performance! Cruise and Blunt together Are imho just amazing! Doug Liman is an expert in telling the actors how to react and interact in their conversations, plus the pace and edition are flawless. The music is the only downside, effective but really basic and composed in a predictable fashion. The song at the end is just wrong, it doesn't fit with the spirit of the film in any way. The song by itself can be amusing but its arrangements are of the mark. Maybe next time Willy MoonI'd like to finish with a positive note, the movie is original and is particularly well done. Congratulations to Doug Liman and all the crew.Definitely, worth, watching!

Tom Cruise is caught in a time loop
Nice blu ray version of a great sci fi movie in which Tom Cruise is caught in a time loop where he dies in battle but is re-born numerous times to relive the same sequence but is now aware of what happened the previous time and is able to change the future, hoping for a better outcome. It was called "Edge of Tomorrow" in the movies which is a great title, not sure why it was changed to "Live, Die, Repeat" except it explains the plot better. Whatever the title it certainly is one of my favourites. Emily Blunt who trains with him is a brilliant female warrior.

Ok Sci-Fi film
An intriguing idea of a soldier in the future reliving the same day, time after time, as the Earth fights alien invaders is the premise for this, otherwise, routine sci-fi feature with ok special effects. The aliens look a lot like animated squiggles. This could have been better. As it stands, it's an ok piece of entertainment, but nothing more.

Under-rated sci-fi
A great film, and the opening scene with Cruise and Brendan Gleesom is brilliant; Cruise shows excellent comic timing. The cinematography and sound design are fantastic and the action scenes are exemplary. The direction by Doug Liman is excellent. Tom Cruise's best all round performance.

cruise makes another half decent sci-fi flick shock
this is a decent effort. the obligatory happy ending doesn't detract that much.the story is mainly strong, the script and players are OK - are all neutral to the filmthe only problem with the 'top hollywood stars' is that they persist with their facial/body ticks/expressions/mannerisms just in case you'd forgotten who they were - it's a brand recognition thing.perhaps i'm over compensating for cruise who has made mostly crass films, so anything half-decent is always a surprise.stands watching a number of times.
