HIGHLY RECOMMEND
At first I was wondering why this model is so much more expensive than it's competitors with similar paper specs. People were saying it's the screen. And WOW they were right. It's a weird thing saying that I've stopped using my tv and just have been using my laptop instead. But the screen quality is insanely crisp!! The battery is also crazy impressive. I've never owned a computer as fast as this one. I'm going into film school here pretty soon and I'm confident it won't slow me down at all during that experience. Great laptop!!

Dell fan, but unsure about this model.
I am unsure whether this should be a 3 or a 4 stars rating. When I compare this to my prior model, the XPS 15 9530 which I am replacing, this one does feel like an upgrade. But not by a lot. Yes, the processor is faster and seems to speed up almost all responses. But there are a number of issues that raise doubts. The keyboard heats up more than the older model which makes it uncomfortable to type. While there is less noise, the fan starts abruptly and can be loud. The speakers are terrible and it is inconceivable they switched the beautiful sound of the 9530 for these stinkers. Though the word stingers may be more appropriate as the 7590 speakers sting your ears when high volume is used.I had high hopes with the 4k screen and I am sad to report that the display of the 9530 was just as good if not better. I really cannot explain why Bloomberg TV live does not look as crisp as it looked in the older model. I was able to overcome the color over saturation other users have complained about by using DellPremier and the Intel application, both of which allow for some tweaking. But then, you would expect super sharp images when watching Netflix movies or similar. But it is not happening. Finally, changes to the keyboard (narrower), the keys (tapping depth) and the sizing of the computer are not that welcome. In fact, tapping keys felt much better in the older model which also felt a lot bigger (screen) in spite of Dell claiming the screen has remained the same size and only the bezels have been made smaller.I wish they had kept most of the old 9530 and only upgraded the core hardware. The 9530 was just fine and with a faster chip and a few tweaks it would have been superb.I will not be returning this computer after weeks of customizing it and transferring work, files and personal data. Too much of a hassle. But I somewhat regret having purchased it.EDIT 11/26/19There has been an issue with Amazon which led me to subtract 1 star. During checkout, I was offered the chance to finance the purchase at no cost -Amazon's 18 months equal payment plan-, which I selected. Yet, next day my credit card was charged the full amount! I contacted Amazon services and they told me the funds had only been frozen. But a week later I was able to confirm that my credit card company charged me the full amount. Deceiving procedure by Amazon. I now owe the full amount to my credit card company which created a red hole as I was expecting only a charge of $85, not one for $1,500+. I contacted Amazon again and even after escalating the issue this has not been resolved. Why would Amazon offer interest free, equal payments plans if they don't stick to what they offer at checkout??

Great laptop
[Update on June 2, 2022] After using this laptop for 2.5 years now, can say I have the following complains:- screen flickering time by time (couldn't solve for good with neither online suggestions)- touchpad freezing (again, no any online suggestion had helped)- black color and blackish shades have very bad quality, the transition of dark shade from a darker one is very abrupt, so you just see 2 different adjacent "blacks" instead of smooth gradient between them. Quite disappointing, especially for a laptop with this price.Great laptop, no any complaints so far (using for 2 weeks already). One thing to be aware of - Windows 10 Home is not activated initially. Tried many times during this period, it was giving an error message "Windows reported that no product key was found on your device". Tried again yesterday and it was successfully activated. Not sure what was the reason, maybe you need to wait some time until the purchase is verified on Microsoft's side as well.

Amazing laptop, mediocre keyboard
This thing is a powerhouse. The screen is insanely bright, and the touch is very accurate. It runs everything I can throw at it with flying colors, although I'm not running the latest games, I use it to run lighting console software for shows. Everything about it is outstanding, except for the keyboard. The keyboard isn't absolutely terrible, but it doesn't feel like what I should find on a $2k laptop. The left ctrl key sits at a slight angle away from the rest of the keyboard, and required lubrication to prevent squeaking. The key travel is good, but it doesn't feel as solid as that on my Latitude 5591 either. But that shouldn't keep you from buying one if you like everything else. It's a good overall buy if you want a does-everything machine that is reasonable in size and weight.
