Amazing Algae guard
I hate not having a picture, but Ill try next time to add before and after. If you have a swimming pool, you spend a lot of money finding out what works and when area and sizes may vary, Algae its an always present threat. Two mayor times I had to use it. The first one it just start getting greenish and I look for a solution and after trying a couple of things I found this algae guard. It works over night. One thing the pictures does not shows is, on the side of the bottle has the fl. oz mark in lines to make it easy to know how much you need to add. It tells you to add 3 to 5 days and follow the directions, what works for me, once a week, when I change my chlorine tables on my fluting and system (3, 3 inches tables) I put one fl.oz. It does make a little foam, but very little and when you swim right away, the water feels a but soapy. But all that disappear in half day to a day. The second time, I left the house and my wife came back after a week and it was a swamp, so bad The Thing would be proud of it. My wife entered in a state of panic and throw a whole bottle at it before he call me. Then before I could asset the situation, she dump an other one. Why? because she could. And in half day start clearing, I do not recommend because obvious reasons, but also it takes time for the system to filtrates the water, so the water look milky for a while. But even then it did not make that much foam. The product it s great and for the price, you can not go wrong. For my 10,500 gallon pool, I use, one Algae bottle (last me 2 months) one RX Algaecide blue (Last 6 months, goes in the pump filter, around 50 bucks) And chlorine 3in tablets (one on each floater, one in the main filter line) and that's it, my pool stays clean and clear year around. I hope this long a.. review helps you out.Dont forget to subscribe, hahaha, JK...

works great
Used this once and it removed all the algae. I had tried a few other things but nothing worked like this.

The Algaecide works.
I need to use more than recommended for the first bottle. The water in the pool was very dirty so I need to find out what a second bottle would do.

Miracle worker! Great product
Such a shockingly awesome outcome! The before pick was taken over 10 days ago and since then we've had 95-102 degree weather. It was GREEN I tell you! I was anxious to get started so I added the algaecide even though my pump was only going to be on for for about a little less than 3 hours. I turned my polaris on to help stir it up for when my filter shut down for day. I wasn't expecting much as I had used an algaecide I bought from my local pool supply store upon their recommendation after they tested my water. Pool stores rarely believe me when I say our pool is 45,000 gallons but I had a Leslie's Pool School tech officially measure it for me so there wouldn't be any doubt going forward. *that's a great service by Leslie's btw (the pool school) as I knew nothing about how our pool equipment worked as we always had professionals service our pool. Covid did a number on all our local pool service companies as they couldn't keep employees so I ended up having take care of our pool myself. I've learned a lot! One thing that I've learned is that different brands of product for some reason *do* make a difference. The algaecide I used from the pool supply store made the water clear-ish but all the dead algae was on the bottom of the pool and needed vacuuming. I don't have the type of vacuum that attaches to the skimmer using the waste feature on our sand filter. I have a battery operated one I bought here on Amazon (that I do like very much) but wasn't up to such a large task. We didn't get it all vacuumed up and the pool turned green again especially due to the high heat we had and we all got sick so zero pool maintenance was done. I mean look at the difference! Overnight! I will be adding clarifier to take of the cloudiness and we will be brushing those sides, skimming, and checking chemicals twice a week so it w/never turn green again! Edited to note: We did indeed let our pool turn green again. 2nd results were not as dramatic. It didn't turn from green to that bright blue overnight but it did have a significant result and again, we didn't have a lot of debris to vacuum up (I don't understand why w/need to do more research.) Also, the price increases have been astronomical! Seasonal or our Economy? I don't know but it's a HUGE increase from $17ish to $38, but if I continue to let my pool become green it will still be my "go to" product and worth it in the end.

Does have a chemical smell BUT did the job, very well
I am in my first house with my very first pool, that I take care of so learning from trial and error and took a small vacation for about a week at the end of this summer and I guess I let the chlorine get to low(when tested showed little to no chlorine in the pool) and it was literally green and had dark green/black growing on the sides. I tried adding multiple(probably about 6) bags of shock at a time trying to kill what was growing and tried 3 different types of shock. I decided to try the whole bottle of HTH after trying the listed amount with little effect after reading a review with the persons pool in the same condition as mine and after using the whole bottle at once, very little foam occurred, and a couple of days later, my pool is clear and all the stuff that was extremely difficult to kill that was on the sides has almost completely died. I will be using this only as I tried using 2 entire bottles of In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide to no effect and with the HTH the pool was safe after an hour while after using just 6 oz of In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide made my pool toxic to anything living, I added the listed dose of In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide and then went to scrub the sides and when a bit of water touched my hand it actually burned. I prefer the stuff that will not kill me in the process, but the HTH does have a very strong smell so keep it away from your face and wear gloves when handling to be safe. Looking through my orders to locate the In The Swim Super Pool Algaecide that did not work, just this summer I purchased 48 bags of shock when I could have just used a bottle of this stuff and have been done and my pool would have not turned bright green and the sides black.
