While I had and enjoyed a 6” rain style shower head previously this Grohe 9” Shower Head is simply incredible.My biggest complaint with my previous shower head (made by a very high end company) is that it would retain water and continue to drip which would lead to build up of mold around the lower jets. No matter how I tried to clean those - scrubbing with bleach, CLR, Scrubbing Bubbles - nothing worked. Over time the water sprayed at odd angles through those jets and obviously having your shower water coming through moldy holes is not ideal.Grohe is well known for producing the highest quality products and this shower head is a prime example. We have found that dreaded problem of mold / mildew around the jets is no issue for this shower head. Within 5 seconds of turning the water off there is absolutely no water dripping - that should indicate no water is being retained within the shower head leading to mold buildup. It easily wipes clean and continues looking amazing.When I ordered this I was a bit concerned about water pressure because there are so many jets spread over such a large are but that is no issue whatsoever. The water pressure is absolutely incredible. Obviously there are variables to be considered as this is concerned including the size of your plumbing pipes and your current water pressure.Installation was smooth and straightforward. As long as prober plumbing is in place all that is needed is a set of vice grips, plumbing tape and a small towel to prevent scratching the chrome when tightening the nut. I installed mine, including removing the old shower head and cleaning the old plumbers tape from the pipe threads, in under 10 minutes.Something to note: this is by far the heaviest shower head I have ever seen. I definitely would not recommend installing this on the typical shower faucet plumbing. It is made for overhead showers that hang down from the ceiling but can also be installed with Grohe shower arms that are intended to support the weight.Grohe has knocked it out of the park with this incredible shower head. You’ll have to experience this to understand just how incredible a shower can be.

Man bekommt einen hochglänzenden, massiven Duschkopf. Und mit massiv meine ich wirklich schweres Metall. 2,3 KG verschraubte Qualität. Ich habe mal drei Bilder angehangen.Das Gewicht hat allerdings einen gehörigen Nachteil: ich habe einen Altbau mit abgehängten Decken, und kann dieses Teil aufgrund des Gewichts derzeit nicht befestigen, da die Decke bzw die Seitenwand mit normaler Verschraubung auf Dauer nachgeben würde. Ich habe diesen Duschkopf vollkommen unterschätzt, da ich derzeit eine "no name" Regendusche habe, die aus verchromtem Plastik besteht und höchstens 1/4 von diesem Duschkopf wiegt. Der Packung liegt übrigens völlig zu Recht ein Hinweis bei, man möge diesen Duschkopf nur unter besonderen Vorkehrungen an Gipskartondecken hängen. Muss ich mir wohl ein Gestell mit mehreren Befestigungspunkten basteln.. nunja!Der Rest ist gut, aber letztenendes auch Standard:+ Silikonnoppen, die Verkalkung entgegenwirken,+ 30° Kippgelenk,+ Kalksieb beiliegend (wobei ich einen am Schlauchanfang befestigen würde, damit man dieses Ungetüm nicht so oft abnehmen muss..)Die Spiegelung auf den Fotos ist übrigens meine Zimmerdecke.. Die Anleitung ist spärlich, aber ausreichend - siehe Bild (ich meine, hey, es ist nur ein Duschkopf..)Fazit:Schwer, aber gut.

Da wir eine Duschkabine mit Grohe-Armaturen haben, fehlte nur noch eine Kopfdusche, die direkt über der Kabinenmitte Platz findet und zudem separat zuschaltbar sein soll. Ich habe diesen Duschkopf durch ein Testprogramm erhalten. Mir war nicht klar wie schwer dieser, aus massivem Metall gefertigte, große Duschkopf ist. 12 x kräftige Edelstahl-Inbusschrauben halten die fordere und hintere Kopfplatte zusammen. Auf der Waage werden 2,3 Kg Gesamtgewicht des Duschkopfes angezeigt.Wegen diesem Gewicht empfiehlt Grohe speziell ausgewiesenen Brausearme (Nr.26145,27484.../85/88 oder 27709 bzw.27711), damit dieser Brausekopf auch getragen werden kann. Bei mir sollte er durch eine abgehängten Decke hindurch befestigt werden, das musste ich leider überdenken, auch bei Gipskartonwänden sollte man zusätzliche Befestigungsarbeiten erwägen. Ich habe mir alle Brausearme von Grohe angesehen, es gibt seitlich montierbare Arme und direkt an der Decke (über Kopf) montierbare Arme. Dabei gibt es unterschiedliche "Ausladungen" die zwischen 15,4 cm und 42,2cm in die Duschkabine herein reichen können.Gekauft habe ich mir einen alternativen Brausearm im Einzelhandel (Avital - siehe Foto). Dieser ist stabil, hat eine "Ausladung" von 47cm und einen zusätzlichen Anschluss für eine weitere Brause. Er funktioniert wunderbar.Die vielen kleinen Duschdüsen des Grohe-Kopfes geben einen sanften, weichen Strahl ab, der nach ca. 50 cm Fall langsam in Einzeltropfen übergeht. Wer einen Regenschauer möchte, muss den Duschkopf entsprechend hoch hängen oder man reduziert die Durchlaufmenge etwas. Der Grohe-Duschkopf ist dreh - und schwenkbar!Dem Duschkopf liegen nicht viele Infos bei. Ein paar Reinigungstipps und 5 Jahre Garantie auf die Funktion. Wir haben recht kalkhaltiges Wasser (Härte 14). Der glanzpolierte Duschkopf war schon nach den ersten Test's dann auch schon leicht fleckig.Fazit: Sehr hochwertiger und massiver Duschkopf mit angenehmer und großflächiger Brausefunktion. Preis/Leistung eher "sportlich". Montage ist für den Hobby-Heimwerker (wie ich) auch mit alternativen stabilen Brausearmen möglich.

Just love these RAIN heads... a level of luxury that is affordable....this Allure is a tank, it weighs a ton, rock solid build quality, easy to install, assuming plumbing is in place.Its a Grohe, so, as always, the finish is superb...the build quality is as good as they get, rock solid...you pay for build and finish!the effect of this shower head is highly dependent on your water pressure... this is true of any brand RAIN Head....if you have too much water pressure and you can not control it, then it could be too strong, add a control valve. If you have insufficient water pressure, the water will drizzle.... its hard to give you the exact numbers, as not only does it involve the pressure, but also the pipe sizes feeding the shower head...so sometimes, u gotta just try it... not all plumbing is plug n play... specially when we all like different feeling rain... so keep this is mind.Great rain head, fair price considering the quality....it has a very eleqoent look, already got lots of compliments!its costly, but the design of the water flow seems better than any I have installed or used...not sure why.the wipe away lime build up, cant comment, dont have lime build up here...cant find a flaw here...and considering the amazing look and build quality the price is justified IMO, 5 stars
