Excellent tuning, astounding value, a real gem.
I've been on a bit of an IEM spree of late, these are cheap, simple, and absolutely superb. They've nailed the tuning, I've now had them for about six months and I'd have normally equalised them by now, but after playing with the sound I've kept them flat. They do take well to equalisation though. Nothing is absent or overdone to my ears, they're as close to one of my ideal tunings as I've come across. This is basically the tuning I try to tweak some of my other IEM's to.I'm not going to describe the sound at great length, I know how tedious that can be, but it wouldn't be much of a review if I didn't at least try!. First off, detail is great, it's all there but they're not super etched out, prizing smoothness and balance instead. Soundstaging is surprisingly good with a convincing 3D "headstage", and the imaging is outstanding. The bass reaches nice and low, it's detailed, hits hard when needed, but I never find it overbearing. Then again, I do like my bass!. There's a hint of bass bleed into the mids, I actually like it as in this case I think it adds body rather than bloat, it feels rich. The midrange is smooth and warm, in no way recessed, giving a wonderful recreation of vocals without ever getting "shouty". The treble treads that precarious line perfectly and extends well - its very well behaved in all the areas that can typically start to grate. I'm especially happy with the first peak at around 2.5k as it's a nice rounded hill roughly in line with the bass. Essentially it's a rich full sound and the main strength is probably the excellent timbre. It's a realistic sounding set of IEM's, instruments and voices sound like they should. I'll attach a pic of the frequency response in case you're interested. The fact these are £30 is a bit of a head spinner. Sure the cable and tips will need replacing if you want improved comfort and fit, and the accessories are minimal, but the IEM's themselves are nicely made and in a blind test I'd seriously struggle to put a monetary value on them.At the same time, the quality of audio gear designed and produced in China is now so good (provided you're selective, as with any audio gear!) that it shouldn't surprise me you can buy a £30 IEM that performs like this. They're iterating so quickly and producing such a multitude of designs with varying technology that it's honestly becoming hard to justify spending more. The last four Chinese IEM's I've bought are the Tin P1's, KZ ZS10 Pros, Shouer Tapes, and now these, the Blon BL-03. I couldn't be happier, they're all fantastic sounding IEM's and use diverse approaches (Planar, Dynamic/BAs, Dynamic/Electrostat, and Single Dynamic).I don't think we're going to be short of options any time soon either, it's only getting better. High price isn't a reliable indicator of high sound quality now, not that it ever really was. High-end does just mean expensive. We now have low cost DACs and amps that objectively equal or exceed expensive offerings - in terms of specs and performance - and the IEM space is no different. Eliminating pricing bias with blind testing ironically really opens your eyes (and ears). You can be in musical hog heaven with enough left over for a celebratory slap up binge at Mrs Miggins Pie Shop :)Excuse the rant!. The Blon put out very high quality sound. They also do it with a single full range dynamic driver. No exotic technologies, they haven't crammed as many balanced armatures in as possible, they've used one quality dynamic driver and tuned it almost to perfection. They're old school done right and they're a must buy. I hope this helped a bit, there's not much else to say about the sound except it's fantastic. Happy listening :)

The new Budget King!
Im going to save you some time and a lot of money here. Just buy these now before the price goes up.I like these so much that I bought a second pair for £18 from a different seller as Linsoul sent me the gun metal grey colour instead of chrome silver which I ordered. I wanted a second backup pair anyway as these are now my daily drivers and that price was just too good to turn down. I am absolutely astonished at just how good these sound.I own a lot of IEMs and full sized headphones and have been a collector in this hobby for years so trust me I know my stuff when it comes to audio gear. My previous favourite budget kings were the standard Tin T2s. But the BLONs are not just budget killers. These sound better than some IEMs I have that cost over £500!The tuning is absolutely perfect. Extended punchy bass, rich mids and clear detailed buttery smooth highs with absolutely no sibilance. The soundstage is also very wide and spacious with good imaging. They fit perfectly providing you use the correct size tips for your ears and can be worn for hours without any discomfort. Some people have complained about the cable being poor quality but come on. I paid £18! and actually its not the worst cable I have ever seen. Its usable. The variety of tips it comes with are also fine however if you want to improve things you can get your own foam tips for better isolation and swap out the cable. I use my own 2 pin 0.78 custom cable but other 2 pin cables may also be compatible.

Tremendous-sounding IEMs. A true hi-fi bargain!
I stumbled across these IEMs the other day on various YouTube hi-fi channels I follow and set about getting my hands on them ASAP.The sound signature of these IEMs is closely aligned to my taste and is of a quality that is far in excess of what one has a right to expect at this price (they sound closer to IEMs costing well over £100 in my experience). There are plenty of detailed reviews elsewhere regarding the sound quality so I'll leave it at with regard to this aspect of the BLONs. Just know that I am extremely fussy and these have more than satiated my thirst for great sound in a small, highly portable package.Build and finish is generally excellent, although I'd prefer a longer nozzle onto which the high quality silicon eartips attach for a firmer, deeper fit. Having said that I did try out all the supplied sets of eartips and found a fit close to my ideal, although there are a number of deeper ones made by other manufacturers that I have read about that will fit the BLONs which I will try out in due course, as others already have to remedy this issue. The supplied cable is actually better than I was expecting as a number of reviewers did not get on well with it. One thing that I will need to do is heat up the cable around one of the earpiece connectors as it has a kink in it that prevents the earpiece sitting as comfortably in my ear canal as it might otherwise do (it is shrouded in a firm, transparent, plastic sheath at this point in the cable). The other side is fine however. A relatively minor issue to be honest but one that shouldn't be present, even at this price. In summary then the BLON BL-03s are a revelation and an ABSOLUTE STEAL at around £35. Do yourself a favour and check out the many reviews on YouTube and elsewhere and you will be left in no doubt as to their overall quality.I evaluated the BLONs by comparing them with a variety of headhones in my collection including my AKG K712 Pro, Audioquest Nightowl Carbon and Nighthawk Carbon, Sennheiser HD598SR, Philips Fidelio L1 and X2, Yamaha HPH-MT5 and HPH-200.In summary these are extremely fine-sounding IEMs, irrespective of price. Very highly recommended!
