My handmade cushions are created from only the finest vintage and antique textiles with natural dyes and plenty of character and charm. For this Mottainai cushion I have used a piece of antique boro sakabukuro fabric - a utility textile patched together and worn over the ages - in a beautiful shade of brown created by kakishibu dye from fermented persimmon and hand stitched with patches over the years. Backing is plain black cotton linen mix fabric. Filled with eco friendly and sustainable kapok - a natural and alternative filling to man made synthetics and has a wonderful loft to it similar to duck down but it is naturally hypoallergenic. Cushion measures 13 x 17" and 6" thick. Only one cushion like this but custom cushions possible - please message me. Dry clean.
