Q: Can this hub extend (not mirror) display from a 2018 macbook pro to 2 external displays using vga & hdmi?

Yes I have the same problem. I have 2 monitors connected to my MacBook. I had hooked up my first monitor thru VGA port on the hub a couple weeks ago. I ordered a HDMI to VGA adapter to hook up 2nd screen and like you guys said it just mirrors both the monitors with same content and doesn't allow you to extend the display. This is a huge bummer having to spend a ton on these adapters and hubs and still not being able to do what we want to do. What do i do to get my 2nd monitor to work as an extended monitor and not mirror? Any suggestions please? Can I get a USB-C to VGA adapter and connect it to the USB-C port on the hub? Since it is meant for power would it support display output?

If your laptop has a usb-c port it will. The port would be the size that the of the newer android charge not to be confused with usb side but the side that plugs into the phone.

You need to read the description: The 4th bullet states: Note: HP charging and incompatible problems may be due to HP as they do not allow 3rd party charger to charge their laptop. HP devices must use the original charger directly connect the laptop to charge but not by our usb c hub.
