Great little product for the price money and size
I only write reviews when I think it’s worth it and this product is pretty awesome. Excellent small size so it fits easily on a workbench and it’s perfect for shaping knife handles, grinding down the pins, etc. works like a charm.

Great little machine
Wow! Nice results from this little sander. Very happy with job. Cleaning a breeze but be prepared to clean it out alot due to small size.

Belt tensioner
Arrived in good shape. Closely reviewed comments of other buyers and they were helpful. Want to clarify about the belt tensioner. The instructions are very vague about how it works. I found that on my unit, the bolt supporting the tensioner wheel was cranked down super tight so the wheel would not move back and forth at all. After breaking the bolt loose, the wheel will move under spring tension the way it should. This was a production error from the plant that needs to be corrected.

Works great on smoothing down small metal pieces
We use it for smoothing down edges of small cut metal pieces and it works great and much faster than a grinder!

For the money, no complaints.
I have this on my bench with a self-made 6” disk sander, and my Baldor grinder/deburring wheel. It gives me a kind of grinding/sanding I need for small tasks. It has plenty of power, a small footprint and you can plug in a vacuum dust collector for larger jobs. Harbor Freight sells it cheaper though.

Good for what I needed it for
I bought this years ago and the motor is ddecent. Its pretty strong and was able to grind down steel pretty good.

The little black backdrop bar is not sturdy and allows a lot of vibration (bolting the sander ...
Out of the box (it was already put together) it was practically unusable. It took me about an hour of tinkering and reading the manual before I was able to reliably use it. The tension device, which is NOT the tracking knob as it says in the manual, needed to be pushed all the way out. The belt dragged along the bottom of the spark guard, so I had to cut it in half. The belt, if not sufficiently tightened, will scrape the top of its housing clogging the belt with paint. The motor is not too powerful and the belt can be stopped with a moderate amount of pressure (this could just be my inexperience with sanders, though). The little black backdrop bar is not sturdy and allows a lot of vibration (bolting the sander down eases this quite a bit). Overall, this sander is not high quality. However, the price (I got it at $60 USD) can't be beat. As an aspiring knife maker, this was a much, much better alternative than spending over $1000 on a modular belt grinder. The belts for this are fairly cheap, about a dollar a piece. The Only issue I'm having with this sander is that I can't get the belt to track to the left edge of the metal bar, so my plunge lines suffer greatly. TL;DR : This sander has many fixable issues. Price is great. Very good for a beginner knife maker.

Quite adequate for knife sharpening
This is a pretty generic sander that comes out of China under a slew of different names but it's really pretty good as a light duty knife sharpener. I'm fairly certain it's identical to the ones from Harbor Freight and Grizzly that everyone seems to like. There a several Youtube videos showing how to set it up out of the box and many of them recommend taking a file to expand the travel of the mechanism that retracts the belt tensioner. I did that and it made changing out the belts quicker and easier. I also built a wood stand that tips it back 45 degrees. The sander stays attached to it even when stored on the shelf. For knives I use an angle guide that slides into place (19 degrees) as well as 120 and 600 grit belts followed by a leather strop belt and some green buffing compound.

looks good and works
Nice looking.. Fast delivery.. When it was first turned on the motor would hum and only turned very slowly. After a minute or so the motor ran at proper rpm.. Seems to be working fine

Other than being rather noisy , works great

Well made
It’s suitable, remember it’s light duty. If you don’t force it let machin do the work it’s great.
