The combination is too easily reset and can be done accidentally if in the hands of someone who doesn't know what the button on the right does. The lock is fine if you will be the only person using it and know not to touch the reset button. If others will have access to it, consider another lock. If the combination is showing and the button on the right gets pressed and the numbers changed, you have lost your combination. We use ours for a playground gate that six teachers have access to. One accidentally reset the combination and we had to have the lock cut off. If multiple people using it, it might be better to get one that has the pin/key to change the combination.
