Low and behold, it works!
This hay rack works. I've tried (1) hay in a bowl, (2) wooden hay rack inside the cage, and (3) just piling some hay in the corner. The problem with the first and third method was my bunny likes to toss his food underneath him, dig, and do its business in its food. I've had to clean the entire cage because of this daily. The second attempt was a wooden rack I bought from petco, it was small, hard to get hay inside it, and the wooden planks were too narrow for my bunny to get food out. He'd get so frustrated that he'd naw and scratch at the wood leaving grooves. I couldn't let that continue. This rack hangs on the outside of the cage, so my bunny cannot naw on it, so the fact that its plastic is ... okay with me.It attached to the back of the cage via two tiny built in hooks and not those screws that you need a certain type of cage for. The metal spacing of my cage is the perfect size for pulling out hay. HAY Only! Don't mix pellets, they'd only fall out.The only complaint I have is that it's not sturdy if it hangs off the side without anything else holding it in place. If you have a bunny or rabbit like mine, they might pull too hard and hay will end up outside the cage, because of the recoil. Someone says a quick fix is to tape it down, but I've placed mine against a wall, so hopefully this won't be a problem.I'll be posting a 11 second video of my bunny eating easily from it.

Good but not Perfect
I purchased this hay rack because it was on the outside of the cage and didn't take up valuable internal cage space. What other reviewers had mentioned is what I am also experiencing. I thought it would be manageable but it is turning into a challenge. The issue is that the bottom of the rack does not stay flush with the cage, allowing bits of hay to escape the bottom and makes a mess not to mention the waste. I thought I could resolve this somewhat with tools/zip ties and such but to no avail. I will keep the hay rack as it basically serves its purpose but if I could find something of the sasme concept but a better design I will be all over that.
