Thanks so much it arrived really quickly and it’s an awesome book

The price is right, It has an answer key in back, many subjects are covered and each subject has a quick example on how to complete problems. I tutor kids and buy TONS of workbooks- this one is great

Sixth grade math is actually quite straightforward and this Math Basics book kept it plain and simple! On a large whiteboard, I "teach" a lesson with the examples given on the page and then my daughter works through each problem (also on the whiteboard, as there is not space in the book for showing work). In my opinion, this is not a book for kids to work through on their own. There are opportunities for teaching the lesson to your child, and then your child getting the opportunity to practice the skill.We work through one page a day and it's enough to grasp the skills without overdoing it (as learners will see these skills again in the next math level - spiral learning!) All answers are provided in the back of the book.I homeschool both of my kids (and have taught public school for 12 years previous) and have tried a few different math programs (Go Math, Math Expressions, Singapore). We end up throwing out many of the pages due to redundancy or overcomplicating a skills. Really happy with Math basics and will keep using the other levels for my younger kids as well.

This is a good book for summer practice. I got it for my fifth grader. There are concepts that he can review and concepts that he hasn’t learned yet, which I like because sometimes he can work independently if I choose the right practice sheet for him and sometimes we can sit together and practice new concepts for the upcoming school year.
