Nice to have a remote on the hangar door.
This item definitely works as a remote for my hangar door. I left the wired switch hooked up as a backup. Wired switch had a 20' cord cause I have to guide one of the cables onto the takeup spool. Not my hangar, just renting from the county. Nice not to have too coil the cord back up after each use. When I did the initial connections I let a bunch of smoke out of the unit. Remote would still drive the low amp relays in the receiver which in turn drive the high amp relays in the motor control unit. Don't know what smoked, but hey, it still works, so all good.

Using for a projector Screen
I have a projector screen that only came with an up/down/stop switch that hung from the top of the projector down to the floor. I wired this in place of their switch and ran the cord down inside the wall. Wireless control at its finest and for only $15 bucks. The first picture is the inside of the manufacturers inline switch. The second/third pictures are the correct way to wire it. The bottom right side is the 3 wire plug from the wall. The bottom left side is the motor control. The green wire/grounding wire just stays connected bypassing the controller. On the right side, Black is the load, white is neutral/common. On the left side is the red/black motor wires and the common/white in the middle. Works like a charm! The top of the controller is only used if you wanted to hard wire an external hand controller.

Great product for motorized projection screen
I used the motor control switch for a new Homegear 110 inch electric projection screen that came with a defective control box to retract the screen. In my first attempt the control box blew. It was a bit scary. Seller wasn't helpful in replacing the control box. After days of research came across this product. It's true to its description. Easy to install. One of the reviews below helped with wiring. I had to flip my up/reverse and down/forward wires to reverse remote operation. I used wire nut for green wires bypassing control module.
