Worked for a while, then quit
Worked fine on my Macbook Pro for a few months, then suddenly stopped working. Tried to contact manufacturer, but they don't return emails and there is no phone number.Setup requires you to set proper image resolution from the Monitors option in system preferences and then use USB audio in the Audio system preferences. Once set once, you are good to go.Shame it didn't continue to work. Now have a brick due to non-contact from manufacturers.

No es el producto que pedí
El vendedor me envió un producto completamente distinto al que pedí. Kanex iadapt 20 Mini DisplayPort a HDMI con audio de 2 canales sirve para Mac Pro del 2019 que no tiene audio en el Mini DisplayPort, por lo cual se requiere el canal mediante USB. El enviado, como se puede ver en la foto no le sirve, es para las Mac Pro más nuevas. Puedo conseguir ese adaptador por 5 dólares, así que perdí más de 20 dólares.

Worked OK the first week
For various reasons we were unable to test working this for two months, when we finally did, the visual was great but the audio was non-functional. Within another week of use, the visual started cutting out every 10 seconds and was no longer worth using. Unfortunately, the return period had been exceeded so could not return. Waste of money.

Had for one year, then it recently got a short. I think it was our fault though. The price was beyond reasonable, so you get what you pay for. I would purchase again.

Kanex iAdapt 20 Mini DisplayPort to HDMI
I've been using this about 9 months. Works great with Sony TV and Apple computer. No distortion of sound. Easy to hook up to computer if you follow directions.

This product was exactly what I needed to be able to mirror my desktop on my plasma in the living room. The picture quality is excellent as well as the sound quality. Highly recommend.

Good Product but not reliable.
It is a failed product in terms of reliability. The Manufacturer introduced this product too early in the market with not much testing. The product is useful for Late Macbook Pro 2008 which does not have Audio and Video combined using USB. Picture clarity in TV and Audio is good but it heats up fast and would not work for a while till it cools. Eventually it did not work using less then 2 month and though hardly used. Customer Service is very poor, they do not get back to us after first or second response. Sales Person eventually offered replacement but i did not replaced it as it is not worth. Amazon Customer service was helpful in some extent though they were not responsible as the product is through 3rd party.

L'adattatore risolve ottimamente e convenientemente il problema del collegamento video/audio tra Mac Book (datati) e televisore. Io ho un MacBook 13" Unibody bianco, e con il semplice adattatore Mini DVI > HDMI e un cavetto separato per l'audio il mio nuovo TV 47" Sony non voleva saperne di farmi "vedere e sentire", gli ingressi separati non li diggerisce, come molti altri nuovi TV (il "vecchio" Samsung lo accettava). Con questo adattatore invece tutto liscio: attaccato al Mac alla Mini DVI e alla Porta USB e a un ingresso HDMI del TV va tutto a meraviglia!Prezzo tra i megliori. Consigliato!Amazon consegna sempre con una velocità impressionante!

funziona con il mio MacBook Pro
Ho una versione di MBP del 2009 che non supporta l'uscita audio dalla DisplayPort. Questo cavo fa proprio al mio caso. Trasferisce tramite USB i dati audio nella porta HDMI, quindi cosi da poter trasferire i segnali A/V tramite il cavo.Lo consiglio a chi ha il mio stesso problema, che per esempio vuole utilizzare La TV come secondo monitor!

La solución definitiva para conectar un macbook pro del 2009 a la TV
Después de probar varias alternativas no era capaz de que se escuchase el audio al conectar mi Macbook Pro a la televisión por HDMI.Gracias a este conector lo he conseguido: sacas el audio por el puerto USB y volià, ¡solucionado!Lo recomiendo fervientemente si tienes un Macbook de mediados del 2009.

preso per collegare il mio "vecchio" mini alla TV e riuscire a controllare il volume direttamente dal Telecomando del televisore. Funziona bene e facile l'installazione
