Wierd in a good way.
So far good story. Kinda slow in the middle and some wierd parts in the second chapter but makes since in the end. It's fun read.

You Will Love Superman Even More!!!
It was a little bit confusing in the beginning but with pages and more pages it got so much interesting. If you love Superman and you know what he means to the world, then this book does the most justice to define him.

Empathy, compassion, faith and selflessnesss personified.
Some comic book readers find "the first and greatest" of all super heroes to be boring. I am not in that category. Ever since watching the the man of steel on the big screen as played by Christopher Reeve I have thought this character to be the one hero other than Spidey (my favorite even more than Batman.) be what humility and human kindness selflessness is how a man or woman should conduct their life. Reading this book (along with the outstanding art work and action.) once again proves to me what makes Superman THE GREATEST of all action heroes. It is not his powers alone that make the man but the humanity and values instilled by his earth parents that have made him a man. He is not perfect he is not God or a god or even unlimited in powers that make this character wonderful but his love and value of life and his ability to self reflect and grow, that even when he is failing he still finds hope in himself and inspires others to hope as well. That was truly the best comic book I have read in years because I was moved to tears and cheering every step of the way as he faced challenge after challenge and found the little girl who believed he would come to her rescue. As Stan the man would say over at Marvel in the day, EXCELSIOR!!! Well done Mr. King and Mr. Kubert. Thank you.

King bows to the Man of Steel
Tom King usually knocks it out of the park when it comes to gripping storytelling combined with great characterisations and giving a new perspective to a well-known character. His Batman run left me between admiration and disappointment. While I loved the storytelling and King‘s ability to write dynamic scenes I think King partially missed the characterisations. But with Superman: Up in the Sky he is back on track.King‘s story is a simple one but multilayered. A girl has been abducted into space. Now it is up to Superman to save that girl on a Herculean journey. The story is not as cheesy as it sounds. It is told episodically revolving around the question what being a hero is all about. King brings out the best in Superman with the right feeling for the character. The story is sometimes touching, sometimes funny, sometimes heartbreaking, but deep down always optimistic and heroic. The artwork? It‘s Andy Kubert. Period. For me it seems that King and Kent are DC‘s power couple. Hopefully it is not King‘s last take on the Man of Steel.
