Not a good toy for cats
I purchased this after reading all the glowing reviews. I thought it would be a great toy for our 3 cats when we are away and they're with the petsitter. Unfortunately, this toy is not a good toy for cats. In other words, it does NOT mimic the way cats play/hunt.First of all, it is extremely NOISY, which was off-putting for me and my cats. Second, the whizzing feather moves around too fast, even at the supposed slow speed. Third, cats can't ever finally catch the feather, as they would with interactive play. Forth, it's cheap plastic and far too expensive for what it is.One of my cats (the only one who came close to the toy), watched it for a bit and then dived under the skirt to 'hunt' the feather, and promptly got hit in the head by the moving arm! So she never went back to the toy. My other two cats kept their distance. I returned the toy the next day (and got a very quick refund – thank you amazon!).Bottom line: interactive play is still the best kind of play for cats (e.g. Da Bird). Don't waste your money on this toy: it's noisy, plastic, the speed and circular trajectory of the moving feather is not a cat-specific way to play.

Good product
Arrived quickly, which means it made in time for my kitty's birthday. Very serious business yknow. The product itself it's exactly as shown and it works great. My only suggestion to the developers is in addition to the multi speed settings, have the gadget hold still time to time. Without a pause, just solid movement, I found the cat's became bored quickly, despite an enthused start. Still, excellent product, worth the $25.

item broke after 5 months
we purchased the item in February and it is already not working properly. The fastest speed is the same as the slowest. We had this item in the States and it lasted years.Really not happy about this

Good toy and takes abuse ( kitty sitting on the rod). Great if young kittens need to play while you need to work- sort of like sticking the kids in front of the TV. LOL
