Clean, safe and fast

THE SOUND IS AMAAAAZING FOR A MONITOR!!! I would not even need to connect to a bluetooth speaker because of how clean the speakers are on this screen. Its adjustable in terms of brightness and also has eye-care which is a plus since I use it from pretty close and 32” is a-lot for our naked eyes. I’m a cinematographer and photographer based in Africa and my team and I use it for all our documentary projects, photography work and even to watch some youtube from time to time hahah. Definitely recommend it as a monitor to anyone in the creative industry.

I have recently purchased the above and made that decision based on the description of 220Hz, when the unboxing was made I noticed it’s mentioned in the back of screen that it is only 50/60 Hz ?!. Contacted Amazon and made an official request to return back and get refunded. Make sure to put correct details and description

My review after using it for 10 days. Suggestion - Go for it if you can afford it. One for all kind of monitor with fantastic gameplay options and specialized color shuttle. Also great for office work. Be it crystal clear fonts due to high ppi, or hdri videos, there hadn't been a single thing that the monitor has disappointed me so far. Great color space as well, so anything that can be done in a monitor, this one can do it. I choose Benq especially for their eye care integrated hardware. And it really is better than my previous MSI monitor for prolonged continue usage. Deserved Five star.

UPDATE 1-3-19: As mentioned below I had my monitor replaced by BenQ due to an HDR defect. They have some of the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. They helped me out very quickly and with no hassle at all. I've been using their new replacement monitor since my original review date and haven't had any issues. I cant confirm that the firmware was indeed updated and that this was the issue as the monitor does not list the firmware version anywhere for me to compare. The monitor does however work as desired and their 3 year warranty and amazing customer service has warranted me to change my review from 3 to 5 stars. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Read the reviews for this specific monitor, A significant number of people are having repetitive HDR issues. I ordered the product because it had a great review rating, I didn’t even bother to look into them much but wish I would have now. overall my final view of this product is going to based on how BenQ deals with the situation and if the monitor i receive fixes my issues. Had this monitor for 3 months before the issues started. During this time the monitor was pretty great, rich colors and great for gaming, very responsive. The colors were a little off especially with blacks which aren’t very deep. Other than that, the HDR and 4k were very nice, it was nothing much more or less than you’d expect for a $400 gaming monitor until I ran into this issue. The issue came when I turned my monitor on one day and all of a sudden, all the colors that were in HDR mode were washed out and flat. After reading carefully on Amazon and in forums I noticed that a lot of people have this issue with this specific monitor. You don’t see it reflected as much in the reviews because all the BenQ product reviews are twitstered together. This means that the star rating and reviews you see for this product are not all actually for this product, its for all the twistered products together. I contacted Amazon about it and unfortunately as of late at least, their chat customer service is getting increasingly more difficult to deal with and far less helpful than they used to be, every person you talk to gives you different answers and reasons as to why they decided they cant help you. So I contacted BenQ instead and their customer service was pretty Amazing. They had a new monitor being shipped to me within minutes of me contacting them and the monitor has a 3 year warranty. Their service is very good, I was very surprised at how fast they were and how easy they were to work with. Andy L. in their service department was really great and his service changed my mind completely about wanting to keep this product or buy future BenQ products. Ill update this post with any new information after I receive my monitor. BenQ told me that the HDR issue is most often caused by firmware which makes me feel a little better.

I tried three other gaming monitors until I finally found this one which is the perfect balance between all the key features I wanted - It has a beautiful IPS screen that, out of the box, has better colors with more tasteful vibrance, saturation and color accuracy than the others I tried. I am a hobbyist photographer and gamer so color is important to me, even more so than refresh rate. I can say that the colors in this monitor are beautiful. I am not sure on what percentage SRGB accuracy it is, but I feel confident that this would be a great monitor as a "jack of all trades" for gaming a photo editing - The resolution to screen size is perfect! The popular IPS LG GL83 monitor is the same size with only 1080p. At 27' 1080p is just too little but 1440p is perfect - The refresh rate of 144 hertz should be all you need for most gamers. I was new to PC gaming and was coming from a 60 hertz monitor and I was psyched to experience the 250 hertz of the MSI E Sports monitor I bought before this. To be honest, I could only notice a mild difference between 60-120 FPS and after 140 I couldn't tell the difference at all. So I decided to find a balance with this 1440p, 144 hertz monitor and I am glad I did - I am running a i7, GTX 1070 with 16gigs of ram and I only noticed a 20-30fps drop in some games that was easily compensated for by lowering a few graphic settings. I was still able to get Borderlands 3 up to 90fps, Remnant from the Ashes to 120 and Borderlands 2 to a solid 144 without much graphical drop. So if you are worried about loosing too much performance, don't be. It's worth the trade off. - The speakers are fantastic for what they are! Do they offer Bose level sound? No. But for monitor speakers with a subwoofer they are more than capable for background music, youtube and casual gaming. These speakers are a serious feature to consider choosing this monitor over another in my mind - I was worried about the stand because the monitor offers no height adjustment or tilt. I found that, while it is a bummer it only tilts, I still found it to be exceptional quality and it's really nice for storing small items in the nook it provides. If you need a more features, you can always buy a desk arm stand and have all the flexability you need. - The monitor looks sleek and beautiful All in all for the sale price of 450, this monitor seems like a steal of a value. It seems crazy that more people aren't talking about it because I feel it's the best balance between price and value.
