William Morrow The New One Minute Manager

Don't be fooled by the apparent lightweight of the book - it is just easily approachable, yet actually very profound.
Wonderful revisit of the One Minute philosophy - updated to contemporary working environments - I got the first version back in 1982 as a fairly recently appointed manager, and made use of it to the best og my abilities and within the those opportunities allowed by the environment ...The 'NEW' book moves from topdown controlled environments to that of flatter organisation types and thus adapts well to present time employees and on top goes 'hand in glove' with e.g. Starfish types of organisations (with just a little spider added) - my personal favorites.

A masterful updating of the Original
A great book, a thoughtful updating of the original, a must for all current and developing managers. Simple, Practical and Realistic, it works.

Tedious read, but probably valuable.
I'm not a fan of this type of Coelhoesque writing. Because I'm not a child, I'm perfectly happy to read a straightforward book written in a prescriptive style as long as it's well argued. This book is likely containing valuable ideas, but the fact that it's using testimonies of fictional characters as a way to support them is not filling me with confidence.

Tiny book full of useful insights
It will probably take you 2 hours max to read this book. Although small, it contains several ideas and examples that can help you manage your team in a highly productive manner.
