Keepsacks are available in 5 sizes. To determine size, measure your item completely around its widest part and divide by 2 to get the width of the bag. Measure completely around the item's tallest part and divide by 2 to get the height of the bag. For example if a framed picture measures 10" x 12" and is 1½" thick, the smallest direction would measure 23 inches around, 10" + 10" + 1½" + 1½". Divide by 2 and the result is 11½ inches. Now, measure completely around the 12 inch direction and the result is 27 inches total. Divide by two for a sum of 13 ½ inches. Allow for the fact that 1 1/8" of the length of the bag is taken up by the Velcro closure at the top. So this picture would need a bag that is 13" x 15". A bit of extra room is fine when selecting a bag size. Any portion of the bag that is not taken up by your enclosed item will just make extra padding when packed next to other items inside or out of Keepsack bags. Be sure to mark the contents of the bag with a permanent marker on the tag. Use a quick swipe of alcohol to remove the mark later for a different item.
