Good two funny movies to watch with the family and kids.

I would give this movie ten stars because it is one of my absolute favorite comedy movies from childhood and I was SO thrilled to finally find it on dvd. I can't tell you how happy I was to see this movie again... the last time being when I was 17 years old, back in 1978 ( hey, no laughing about how OLD that is, ha! ha!). But anyway, thank you so much for having this movie available on standard dvd for purchase. This is a treasure to me.Perhaps some day you will also have available on dvd another excellent comedy with Tony Randall titled "FLUFFY" where he plays a scientist who loses his cross-eyed lion that gets framed for murder. "SCAVENGER HUNT" with Tony Randall, Roddy McDowell and even a very young Arnold Schwarzenegger is quite funny also. Thank you again!

Cute movies from my childhood. It is nice to see safe movies where you can be entertained and not worry about language etc. These movies were based on the TV series McHale's Navy which I also watched as a child.

This complements by DVD set for the TV Show, one of my childhood favorites. Video quality is very good, and I would recommend it to any Tim Conway fan or a fan of the original show. Conway's scenes with Joe Flynn are juvenile but priceless and very funny. Ernest Borgnine is missed in the second film, as the supporting players lack the stabling character of McHale. The second film suffers from the excessive use of rear projection of scenes and the overuse of a soundstage. It was still funny even though it was filmed entirely at Universal Studios.

I've enjoyed McHale's Navy since the episodes and movies first aired. Tim Conway and the rest are great entertainers. Both these movies are fun to watch time after time. Quality movies at a great price.

Even though this movie doesn't include the main character in the television series (Ernest Borgnine), I enjoyed this a great deal. The Ensign Parker (Tim Conway) and Captain Binghampton (Joe Flynn) interactions are as well done as any in the T.V. series. Think of the movie as McHale's Navy starring Tim Conway and you will be close to what this movie is all about. Another plus is the fellow that plays the leader of the Russian sailors was chief Uhuru (sp?) in the t.v. series. I have it on vhs tape and the picture and sound quality are first rate. I think I paid around $10 for it and watch it more often than many of the movies in my video collection.

I used to watch McHale's Navy Joins the Airforce all the time as a kid. Practically had it memorized and have been looking for it for years. So excited to find it again. Not quite as funny as I remember but still good and the flying jeep scene is still hilarious!
