Are the side pockets large enough to carry a collapsible umbrella in the pocket?

I always do a little trick when an umbrella or water bottle has a loop on it. You slide the bottle or umbrella into the side pocket and then in this case you can unhook the crossbody strap Simply pull the crossbody strap through that umbrella loop and reattach. It's safe until you need that umbrella!

Is tis bag really 8" high and 10" wide? It looks taller than it is wide.

Does anyone else have trouble with the zipper on the main compartment? This is my second one and it catches every time I unzip it.

No, have had no problems with it, neither has my sister who got the bag at the same time. I presume no thread or anything is stuck in the zipper.
