Has anyone used this in new plush soft carpet? Does it glide easily over carpet or do you have to tear your arm muscles to move it?

You will have to tear your arm muscles to move it. This vacuum is great on hard floors, low-nap carpets and area rugs. In my experience the only thing that works well on plush carpet is a self-propelled upright or canister with a self-propelled wand.

For crying out loud , what's the difference between the eureka mighty mite 3670m - 3670h -3670g ?

Hello and thank you for your question in regards to our Eureka Mighty Mite models. The 3670G is a pale yellow, the 3670M is a mustard yellow and the 3670H is blue. Aside from the color, the dimensions vary slightly. The 3670G and the 3670H are the same dimensions 9"x16.5"x11.3" (WxDxH), the 3670M is 9 x 17.5 x 11.63 inches (WxDxH).

is this good for vacuuming pet hair off of area rugs?

I prefer my Eureka Airspeed upright for pet hair on my area rugs.
