Babar Slipcase

I loved these stories when I was a small child, and purchases these as a gift for another small child who loves stories.I wish I still had my original Babar books, they were on a much larger scale than these. These are on a much smaller scale, but the images and the script writing is the same as it ever was.

I got this to give as a gift....and it was very well received. Babar is a classic favorite, for good reason.

Do not buy this set. Buy another Babar set if you love Babar, but avoid this one. The font choice is really (really) bad. It’s small, which is ok if you choose the right font, but the cursive writing font-style is noticeably (and unnecessarily) tough to read. For a child’s book, the ratio of words to images is also a bit lazy. Not a big deal for older children, but anyone under 5, skip this set.

She lives far away but her Mom reads and helps her read, and apparently enjoys it at least as much as I did as a kid.
